I am generally open to changes and I hate when comics/cartoon/show repeats the same shit over and over. Change is usually good.

For example I love what Batman writers did with Batman before nu52 - Batman having a son, Batman sort of dying, Dick taking the mantle and being more lighthearted with more agressive Robin... that was a good change. Because it was written well.

This however is out of nowhere and shitty.

Kirby serves as a tool to create an interesting story arc and more combat, but also force the group dynamic back to how it was previously. He may dominate some storylines, but doesn't communicate much so he doesn't affect the group dynamic.

He justifies Twilight's new magic spell creation as he shows resilience to old magic, he also basically forces humility on Twilight since he's far more powerful than her magic

Twilight's increased magic capability doesn't surface as often as Kirby can react much faster than Twilight can. The Elements + Spike just try to keep Kirby from causing trouble.
