It's a ponut/loonix based OS that is actually supposed to be fairly usable but mainly for vidya, and of course only vidya that's been ported to linux. No, I use ubuntu more than enough and it isn't user friendly as soon as something goes wrong. If nothing else, it's the fact that so many people have Windows and it's the exact same windows that when something goes wrong, you can easily find the solution by just searching, meanwhile with Linux you often have to dick around a lot to figure out what the fuck went wrong again. Ubuntu works well enough for something that's free, but using Windows on my main computer save me a whole lot of time by just having as much support as it has.

Na, it can be quite useful for work. I don't need any extra programs to chance a file format for example and the console is much faster than using the explorer.

But on my private PC I use windows too, simply because I want to be able to play vidya

That won't happen for multiple reasons.
Firs is Microsoft having unlimited money. They just had 900 million dollars loss on the RT tablet. They didn't give a fuck they made a new one.

They get so much money from Windows and Office and Android that they can just burn money every day and still not have any loss.

So they use that money to make Developers use DirectX

And if that doesn't work (protip it work) they can just make a console that uses OpenGL and nothing changed.

You can run steam OS on a toaster and still play all the games, if nothing else, via streaming. You can't do the former with Windows and you can't do the latter on Linux.
