He even talks at length about Trojan Horse in a recorded processing interview and listening again it's some alien discussing stellar n-space geometries.

He can remember a book's title and author but there's no "Frankenstein" or "He's alive." He has a lifetime of literature and metaphors to catch up on in Equestria and no cultural parallels to fall back on. Jokes fall flat. He can drink but a conversation dies if it's not literally about what a friend just mentioned a few minutes ago.

He's a novel that just got gutted to the Cliff Notes, and the saddest part is everyone can tell after a while

I'm not him, but in previous seasons it was less apparent that it was really just throwing random crap around with no attention to consistency. Whether or not they care less now, it all gives me the impression that they no longer have any kind of scope of what they are going for, they just write some episode that can fit in anywhere and go with it.
