Since this is the designated WiR thread at the moment, has someone art with Turbo and Vanellope? As in, she annoys the shit out of him?

I blame my desire for this on a certain fanfiction where they have to rely on each other more or less but also annoy the shit out of each other and it's just delightful

So here's somethin' that's been bugging me.

In a stock version of Sugar Rush, Vanellope von Schweetz is a princess. She races in a hoodie (at least going by her picture on the arcade cabinet), but in other contexts is the kind of princess who'd wear a gown.

Obviously, things changed for the Vanellope at Litwak's - some time very early on, Turbo showed up, tore her from the roster, and caused everyone to forget that she'd ever been a playable character. She got buggy. She got cynical. She learned how to live on her own. In short, she underwent major character development. And when she was returned to her former status and completeness, a full thirteen years later, she wasn't nearly the person she'd have been had she never been deposed.

What do you suppose a Vanellope who had lived thirteen years as a Princess might have been like, compared to the one we know and love? What do you suppose they'd think of each other, if they ever met?

I recently read the fic Local Man Finds His Arcade "Turbo-tastic." Link here, http://www.fanfiction.net/s/8677314/1/

I did enjoy it, and it gave me a thought for what could be an interesting sequel of sorts. What if shortly after the events of this fic, Mr. Litwak is offered another Turbo Time machine. Perhaps another arcade wants to sell it, or he runs into it at some junk shop or a friend is offering it to him, it doesn't really matter. It's just that now, he has to make a decision on what to do, perhaps consulting the characters on if he should purchase it or not.

Unrelated question, but has there ever been any discussion on what would happen if Silent Hill: The Arcade was ever plugged in?

I think a Disney console is going a bit too far. Disney's already a household name - they can survive as a third party developer.

Original IP coming out of Disney Interactive would be cool though.

StoryTime (by either Dues Imperator or DeSade)

>“It’s almost time!”
>A murmur ran through the crowd as everyone in Game Central Station turned towards the empty terminal. Everyone who had some free time had gathered around the terminal, having heard the rumors about a new game being plugged in today. They’d all showed up to welcome their new neighbors into Litwak’s; amongst them stood Ralph near the front of the crowd, surrounded by his friends. Vanellope was bouncing across the giant’s shoulders excitedly as Felix and Calhoun chatted between themselves.
>“It’s almost time!” Vanellope said again, stopping on Ralph’s right shoulder. “Whaddya think it’ll be, Ralph? Racer? Platformer?”
>Ralph shrugged, gently enough to not send his friend flying. “Beats the heck outta me, kid. Maybe another FPS? Those are pretty popular.”
>“Yeah, you got a point,” Vanellope agreed. “But still-” She stopped midsentence, attention drawn towards the terminal. “Hey, look, it’s getting plugged in!”
>All eyes locked on the socket above the terminal as the previously light-filled gap grew dark as two prongs slid in. The screen below the plug fizzled and sparked before finally lighting up to reveal the new game’s name: Silent Hill.
>>
>>44429032
>“Silent Hill?” Vanellope read aloud. “Sounds boring. Who wants to live in a game where you can’t talk?”
>A blue figure sparked to life right outside the terminal. It was the surge protector, motioning for everyone to stand back. “Back off, folks,” he ordered, “give the new characters some breathing room.”
>Another energetic murmur went through the crowd as some silhouettes appeared in the terminal’s tunnel. Counting six figures in all, Ralph watched as they approached, stepping out into the station’s light.
>Out of the six of them, five were adults and one was a child. Ralph felt the weight on his shoulders disappear as Vanellope teleported, reappearing right in front of the little girl.
>“Hello!” the petite president greeted, holding her arm out for a handshake. “I’m Vanellope. What’re your names?”
>The little girl accepted the handshake, smiling. “My name’s Emilie,” she said, blond hair bouncing as Vanellope shook her arm enthusiastically. Emilie pointed to brown-haired man and woman beside her. “He’s Eric, she’s Tina, and the guys back there…”
>“Will be seen to by me,” the surge protector interrupted, zapping himself between the two girls. “Skedaddle,” he ordered Vanellope, who stuck her tongue out at him before running back to Ralph. “Now then,” the protector continued, notepad held high and pen poised to write, “name, game, and genre, please.”
>>
>>44429043
>The man named Eric stepped up, clearing his throat. “Silent Hill, sir, a horror-themed shooter.” Groans rose up from the crowd as a few characters lost their bets simultaneously. “As for names…”
>Scraaaaaaaape.
>Eric froze, eyes wide. “Oh no, no, no, no,” he whispered, looking like a deer caught in headlights. Another long, metallic scrape came from the tunnel behind him. All six of the newcomers suddenly burst into a sprint, Tina scooping up Emilee as they started shoving their way through the crowd. “Run!” Felix yelled, terror dripping from his voice. “Everyone, run!”
>Sounds of confusion sprung up as another figure appeared at the end of the tunnel. The figure moved slowly, making that same loud scraping noise with every jerky step. The stranger stepped into the light, and the crowd lit up with gasps and screams.
>It looked like a man, but his head was replaced with some sort of metallic triangle, its front most part jutting out ahead of the creature. An apron covered its front, splattered with what was most likely not ketchup. The source of the scraping was revealed as the monster dragged a large, sharp blade along the ground behind it.
>The surge protector was the first to flee, screaming like a little girl as he zapped himself somewhere else. The crowd followed suit, scattering in all directions in terror as they desperately retreated back to their games.
>>
>>44429056
>Ralph and co. were swept up along with the crowd, retreating to the safety of Sugar Rush. Even Calhoun ran, though it looked like she was more prepared to go pick up a weapon than panic. Ralph turned back to pick up Vanellope and deposit her on his back, catching a glimpse of the creature as he did so. The monster was still exiting the tunnel, looking back and forth as if scouting for its first victim. Ralph picked up the pace.

>“Alright, alright, let’s get down to business, fellas.”
>Clyde hovered back and forth in his chair, taking control of the BadAnon meeting. “First order of business: lets hand out the snacks Bowser was kind enough to bring.”
>Ralph accepted the punch and doughnut he was offered, biting into the pastry. Though he’d long since come to terms with being a villain, the other members of BadAnon looked up to him for how far he’d come along. He still showed up to meetings, happy to help his fellow baddies with their issues… plus, they brought the best treats this side of Sugar Rush, except for the days when Vanellope gave Ralph some sweets to take to take to the meeting himself.
>“Now then,” Clyde went on, “Let’s start with you, Eggman. Have you managed to sit down and have a chat with Sonic yet?”
>The portly doctor raised a hand to respond, only to flinch as a sound rang out outside Clyde’s box. He wasn’t the only one. The sound droned on; the long, metallic shrill that had become pretty frequent nowadays.
>Scraaaaaaaape.
>>
>>44429068
>Eyes turned towards the entrance as someone entered, dragging something behind them. It was the creature that showed up earlier that week, the one everyone fled from on sight whenever he showed his pointy head. Clyde turned blue, blinking frantically as the monster stalked towards the circle.
>It drew closer, slamming a hand down on the nearest empty seat. Slowly, it lowered itself into it, leaning its weapon against the chair. Everyone held their breaths as the beast leaned forward, somehow managing not to fall over despite its no-doubt very heavy helmet. Slowly, in a hollow, rasping voice, it spoke.
>“My name is Pyramid Head… and I’m a bad guy.”
>The room stayed silent as Pyramid Head glanced back and forth. Slowly, the members of BadAnon raised their hands, waving nervously. Those who had hands, anyway. “Hi, Pyramid Head,” they squeaked in unison.
>Pyramind Head leaned back in his seat. “I am seen as a monstrous, terrifying figure,” he went on, “and frankly, I can’t blame anyone for that. But sometimes, I wish people would look beyond the garb, beyond the knife, and beyond the things I stuff I do ingame. I tend to my garden and feed the birds in my spare time, for Pete’s sake. Am I really asking for so much?”
>The tension in the air seemed to evaporate as the baddies looked at each other curiously. Zangief leaned forward, pointing to the newcomer. “Pyramid Head, my friend, let me tell you story of what I realize while crushing man’s skull like sparrow’s egg between thighs.”
>>
>>44429082
>“Chug, chug, chug, chug!”
>Pyramid Head looked at the faces of his expectant group mates, clutching a frothy mug of root beer in his hand. Relenting with a shrug, he raised the glass to his mask, letting the drink pour down over his metal headgear.
>Ralph cheered and laughed along with the rest of them as the drink rained down, offering a napkin to the wet villain, who accepted it gratefully. It’d been a couple weeks since Pyramind Head had joined BadAnon. He’d turned out to be a pretty nice fella, and the rest of BadAnon had been quick to spread the word. Though people were still uneasy around him, people at least respected Pyramid Head enough to not run away screaming on sight. Emilie, Eric, and the rest of the game’s cast had even warmed up to their coworker a little, willingly hanging out with him from time to time.
>Ralph felt a tug on his arm, looking down to spot Vanellope looking up at him. “Hey, kid,” he greeted her.
>“Hey, Ralph,” she replied. Upon noticing a curious Pyramid Head glancing hey way, she gulped. “H-hey, pointy head.” Pyramid Head nodded politely before turning back to the bar, knowing it’d take awhile before people were completely unafraid of him. “Anyway, Ralph,” Vanellope went on, “another game’s getting plugged in today!”
>Ralph raised an eyebrow. “Really? So soon?” He shrugged, gulping down the last of his root beer before easing out of his bar stool. “C’mon, guys, we got a new neighbor to welcome. Lead the way, Vanellope.”
>The villains got up from their seats, following after the little girl. “Any idea what’s getting plugged in?” Ralph inquired, following at Vanellope’s heels.
>“Sure do,” Vanellope said. “Someone in the crowd was spreadin’ it around. It’s called CarnEvil.”

Anyone wants the CarnEvil story just ask

I was thinking about writing something with the same premise, but I was going to go about it in a way that just let me do a Silent Hill story with Ralph and Vanellope as the main characters. Though I'd have to give some thought on what Silent Hill would show them and how it'd react to them.

What do you think or think would be interesting to see Ralph struggle with as a character in the sequal?

I think it might be interesting to see him struggle with his own mortality. Life in the arcade seems rather fragile, seeing as they could be unplugged at anytime (not unlike our world) and now that he's happy with his life and he has people he cares about, I think death weighs on him much more than it did before. And I think it would be a logical next step after Ralph's midlife crisis in the first movie.

What do you all think?

Seems like the same trailer, but in moonspeak.

If you're implying the release in Japan will have an big impact on /co, it very well may, but indirectly.
>>
>>44447116
I just hope the Japanese audience likes it.
>>
>>44446991
Suprisingly similar given the marketing towards the sugar rush aspect, curious to see if the characterization of any big characters is altered, also proud of the lack of spoiled jokes, unlike our trailers.

Huh.... I'm actually disappointed in that Trailer. That doesn't feel or look very appealing to me. I personally think the English trailers were much better done.

Which is actually saying a lot since I have thought in recent years most American trailers focus entirely on stupid slapstick gags without any heart, and intentionally overlook any drama or seriousness the story will contain.

[The American Trailers for Pixar's Brave were a perfect example. I was thoroughly turned off by them, but in contrast the Japanese ones actually *didn't* suck.]
>>
>>44448834
Yeah, my main issue with the wreck it ralph trailers was that they spoiled some of the best jokes
>>
>>44449323
I disagree, because most of the best jokes were in the background. Was skrillex in any of the trailers? That was a highlight for me to, just because of how appropriate it was.
>>
>>44449323
Agreed, glasses joke.
>>
>>44449509

I thought that was probably the most inappropriate thing in the movie.

>>
>>44447977
>>44448035
It would have to be the Old Dante. Dante doesn't swear(though Nero does), smoke or drink, unlike Donte. Therefore, Disney would go with him, assuming they wanted him.
>>
>>44438720

Uhm. Japanese made figs for Ralph and Vaneloppe, possibly the supporting crew. Revol, Figma, Nendo, whatever. Don't really care who makes them as long as they do 'em good. Current toys are neat, but aren't up to par with what I'd like.

As stated above, a crossplatform game that I can pirate. Preferably an NFS style Sugar Rush, because that's easily the most interesting world in the setting.

Barring those, I'm pretty happy with just the movie.
>>
>>44449599

The most inappropriate thing for me was the Rhianna song they played during driving lessons. It wasn't that it didn't fit with what was going on, it was certainly an upbeat tune, it just sat oddly with the whole thing being a Disney flick and all. That song's your typical pop-culture 3-minute long innuendo.
>>
>>44457066

I had never heard the song before so it didn't bother me.

>>

I dunno. Some movies just get lucky, especially if companies plan to make them the 'big' movie of the year. In Dreamworks' case, that role was filled by Madagascar 3, so RotG got the shaft in terms of merchandise.

Damn shame, because I found it to be a much better movie than Madagascar 3.

I don't get why everyone likes this movie so much. It's really just Toy story (inanimate objects come to life when humans aren't around) + Monsters Inc (scary bad guy tamed by adorable little girl) meets Cars 2 (climactic race in candy-colored environment where villain somewhat arbitrarily appears at the 11th hour and almost screws everything up).
>>

And yes, some companies are better with merchandise than others, though I guess a massive company like Disney would have no problem finding decent developers for their merch.

Okay. Y'know that hallow where they built the Apple Store? Well, back in my day, it was infested with wolves and bears. Y'see, the wolves were working with the bears. The bears would come out and wreck your yard, tear down bird feeders, break open your garden gate, and rip apart your trashcans sos you'd come out t'yell at them. Then, the wolves would attack, overwhelm, and then live like kings inside your house! Twelve census workers died during the 1950 (my dates might be a bit off, but it was 'round that time) census because they went to houses infested with wolves.

Anyway, a travelling merchant (back in those days, we didn't have any permanent stores in town; it was all bought and sold by a guy off the back of a pack mule pulling a small cart. Chester, I believe his name was... maybe that was the mule...) says to me "hey, kid, you look like you could use some adventure in your life. I gots this magic movie tape what tells you about a little lion cub who grows up to kill his uncle. All you need to do is get it back from them bears that done stole it from me. >tfw Dodge and Ford are purely platonic
>>
>>44431697

So I've been thinking about this off and on all day and I think I finally have something that could be an interesting story. Wall o' Text incoming:

Let's say Silent Hill: The Arcade has been plugged in to Litwak's arcade for years. However when it was first plugged in the Surge Protector blocked it off explaining it was dangerous and nobody should ever go to it.

Well, after the events of the movie Vanellope is for the first time free to visit other games. She learns about the blocked off game and decides to sneak in, feeling sorry for the characters who must be stuck inside and never able to explore. Ralph finds out and follows her in.

The game has its own characters who have been stuck in Silent Hill for years, and the arcade Silent Hill works just like Silent Hill as described in the normal console games. Even when off duty the characters suffer and are never allowed release from the town. They continue to do their job, but are secretly working to find a way to rewrite the code to make Silent Hill better and end their suffering. Like Hero's Duty, the monsters the town creates don't know they're in a game, and the town only manages to create the proper enemies for the players because the characters never leave and new ones never come in to visit.

When Vanellope meets with some of the Silent Hill Arcade characters, they see her as the key to their goals and plan to use her and her glitch to destabilise the code of Silent Hill and bring about what they think will be a paradise. Using her like this will of course kill her. It is up to Ralph to find and save Vanellope, and Vanellope to escape and find Ralph.

And since Silent Hill acts like Silent Hill, our heroes have to avoid monsters and manifestations based on their personal demons along the way.

Thoughts?
>>
>>44463526
Well I'm all for it. Whether or not you take the darkest route or a comedic story, the best thing to do is decide what you are good at and make a skeleton of it. Then just flesh it out.
>>
>>44463526
at first I thought you were this guy >>44459834 and got excited, but your idea is also swell.
>>
>>44463526
Ralph could get brick monsters and dead/bug vesions of vanellope, Calhoun could get bug versions of her first fiance, Vanellope can get glitch bug monsters that resemble Turbo, make it clear that the scars run deep.
>>
>>44463698
I'd like to see both of you do a Silent Hill story.
How would you do yours DeSade?
>>
>>44463826
What does Felix get? As a hypothetical how would silent hill effect someone without a concionce like King Candy? Not too familliar with silent hill.
>>
>>44463960

Someone like King Candy would work significantly better for Silent Hill. King Candy's done a lot of bad things, and he might think he has no guilt, but he surely does. Even if he doesn't have any consciously, it's there, and Silent Hill will force him to confront it and he will either accept it, die, stay in Silent Hill forever, or be forced to repeat it and come back to Silent Hill later.
>>
>>44463960
A lack of empathy, more commonly known as a "conscience", does not mean one is without personal demons.

Everyone has their own personal hell, their own fears. One just has to know what it is.

In turbo's case, Id say it could be the lives he's destroyed coming back to haunt him, or the threat of obscurity, being forgotten while he rots in an eternal prison.
>>
>I never got the hype behind the movie.
>To me it looked like an Adam Sandler film for "gamers." There were no jokes around the characters, it was just cameos and that was it, then all it had to do was use easy-videgoame-real life--logic jokes.
>The animation was good.
This is what someone on /v/ thought of the movie.
>>
>>44464176
funny, those were almost my exact thoughts before watching it.
And then everything changed, an extremely pleasant surprise.
>>
>>44464163
In the case of WiR, I'd say their greatest fears wouldn't exacty involve themselves more than it involved the threat of losing each other.
Calhoun would be Felix getting eaten or transformed by Cybug's
Ralph's would be losing Vanellope or vice versa
If Vanellopes fear was not losing Ralph it could be something along the lines of her code slowly devolving due to glitching, which leads to all sorts of nightmares
Felix is tricky, but I would have to say it could either be losing Calhoun or his game getting unplugged, perhaps because he's no longer able to fix things.
>>

Don't know if Felix qualifies, but an innocent sees nothing but a dusty abandoned town with no monsters at all. It's what the little girl saw in Silent Hill 2.

And I wouldn't call Felix innocent. I bet there's many a time he noticed Ralph, alone and cold in his dump, and didn't lift a finger despite his biting conscience.

>>
>>44464941
>>44464815
Right, an inoccent mindset doesn't equate to a clear concence
>>
>>44463826

I imagine Ralph would spawn a massive creature, one that accidentally steps on and crushes things but is completely unaware of doing so. Something that represents how even when he doesn't want to, he destroys things.
>>
>>44465010
ooh, yea that's cool. What do Vanellope and Calhoun get?
>>
>>44465114

Calhoun would get very fast, very attentive buglike creatures always on the lookout for prey. Spawned from her self-loathing over her inability to keep lookout on her wedding day.

Vanellope... not quite sure. Possibly little childlike creatures that look like the Sugar Russians because she'd unsure if they like her now because they really do, or because she's their ruler.
>>
I think the absolute best candidate for silent hill would be bizarro vanellope
>>
>>44465212
the sugar russians thing could work. instead of having theme candies, they could be made of candy. You know, in a creepy way, not a fun way.

>>44463526

Ralph or Vanellope could spawn a monster that represents the loneliness he/she had and the fear that he/she will be alone again. If not, Ralph's would reflect his feelings that he IS but a bad guy, a monster that can only destroy and deserves to be shut out. Vanellope's would represent that she's worthless, a mistake that'll never achieve anything important.

Felix's could reflect the hidden resentment/thought that despite all the praise, he is but a tool used to fix things.

Calhoun's would definitely represent her tragic backstory or, better yet, her resistance to attachment to people. She does NOT want to repeat her backstory, real or programmed.
>>
>>44465114
A cybug that drags an illusion of Felix, while chases the screams of her husband, eventually leading her to a Cyberized Felix.

Vanellope is best case for a clear conscience, but I'd imagine her monster would be blobs of corrupted code, distorting, disfiguring, and disintegrating anything in their path. The closer they get to her, the more she glitches out, giving the impression that if they get her her code will literraly fall apart.
>>
>>44465010

Maybe Felix can get something that looks very harmless and unassuming, but sucks the life out of its victims.
>>
Silent Hill does not literally make you confront your fears. Or even really your fears at all.

It's more accurate to say it makes you accept the truth, or at least what you see as the truth. It reflects what you really think and feel deep inside. Laura in Silent Hill 2 sees the town as perfectly normal because she's too young to have developed any major scars or opinions on how the world is, nor has she suffered any grave injustices, and she has nothing to do with the cult that runs around the place.

It also is very metaphorical with how it reacts to you, and while what one sees is thus personal and tailored to you, it is not unheard of for people to share in each other's manifestations. Silent Hill 2 in particular showed this, as the Abstract Daddies were not built from James, but from Angela. James also gets to see Angela's otherworld, which is constantly on fire in contrast to James's, which is usually dank, wet, and run down. It's also likely that Eddie's otherworld was seen, in which it is frozen. Silent Hill 4 also had nothing that was comprised of the main characters psyche, it was all from the Antagonist's. While this happens, Silent Hill seems to push people away from each other. In many games we know that other characters are basically having their own Silent Hill adventures, but we rarely stick with them.

Something curious is that in Silent Hill 1, Grey Children symbolised how Alessa was tormented by her classmates. I imagine that Vanellope would end up with something very similar. http://silenthill.wikia.com/wiki/Grey_Child
>>
>>44465448

I'd imagine Felix, feeling very guilty about being oblivious to his co-worker's plight, would spawn a hideous, yet blind creature. It'd probably randomly lash out in a powerful frenzy, but be completely unable to see, hear, or smell.
>>
>>44465637

This makes a good deal of sense.
>>
>>44465544
>It's more accurate to say it makes you accept the truth, or at least what you see as the truth.

If that's how they see themselves, most definitely.

For Wreck-it-Ralph characters, it's easy to come up with their simple problems, but I think it's rather difficult to figure out the greater intricacies. We might understand that Vanellope doesn't want to be alone and suffered at the hands of the Sugar Russians, but how does she *really* feel about it, and if forced to confront these issues how will she eventually decide to handle it? She might come out bitter and jaded, hating all her subjects. Or she might come out totally fine and worry free. I really wish I could watch the movie again.

>Thug: A monster representing Ralph's anger, frustration at others, and selfishness. Resembles a large furless bear or yeti with a rusted chain leash and malformed forearms that it constantly uses to emulate Ralph by slamming into walls or corpses for hours on end. Has an unearthly obsession with Vanellope and will try constantly to seize her and carry her off away from Ralph. It seems constantly agitated and tired during activities and will attack other monsters as often as regular characters.

>Cavity: Small impish things that spawn from Vanellope's insecurities regarding others and herself. Body looks to be made of ivory but is covered in large rotting holes and cuts resembling its namesake. Oddly, they don't interact with other monsters but mostly ridicule each other, often having one beaten by the others until something enters their general vicinity. When agitated, they make the sound of a revving engine to intimidate but otherwise lack any particular fighting skills besides pack fighting.

I was on my way back from the store when I had a thought. Well, two thoughts.

First just out of curiosity, how popular is Ralph and Vanellope as a ship?

Second, now wouldn't *that* be something Silent Hill could use to really mess with Ralph and/or Vanellope. There's all sorts of guilt and confusion that could come from such feelings, especially if they were heavily suppressed.
>>
>>44470431
Really? Because I swear the last I saw of him, he was nearly finished with it, just the shading to do.

>>44470508
Ralph and Vanellope are one of the more popular ships. I'm not really one for it, though I can see why people would support it.

Silent Hill may use those repressed emotions, yes, just like James with the Nurses. I personally see it more as Vanellope having a small crush on Ralph, but Ralph thinks of himself as a big brother.
>>
>>44469873
I think it's great idea. I'm working on it right now!
Also, I don't think the cowboy hat is needed, the reference is pretty famous.

I wonder if Turbo met Vanellope before erasing her memory. He did know which file to pull out.
>>
>>44488771

She probably treated him with kindness and respect, probably sparing some candy to a guy down on his luck. She points the way to her game and tells him to visit and maybe a watch a race or two.

Turbo nods his head and thanks and begins to silently plot the takeover of sugar rush as he politely shakes her hand and looks her in the eye.

I've always imagined that Felix programmed them into his game, so they get to respaqn.

Similarly KC programed himself into Sugar Rush so death wouldn't be an issue.
>>
>>44488352
I thought the same, but it's not like Felix can kill them, right? I mean Ralph doesn't die either in game, he gets tossed of the building.

Only Felix can die I guess if he gets hit with debris I guess, since he has a death animation and all.

>>44494793
I like the idea that Turbo overwrote an existing KC to get a job, since it would explain that no one complained that there's the MC of Sugar Rush missing but another one there. On the other hand, the humans in the arcade aren't weirded out that there's suddenly a new level in Fix-It-Felix Jr., so I guess they're dumb.

Only during extreem emptional stress, she hasn't used the power outside her own game and supressed it in turbo time, so when it finally acts up, it isuncontrolled and may even hinder her, in cy-bug form it is mor asthetic transitioning her face and claws, occassionally doing an Aggie style head split as she freaks out, I'll do a treatment of some banter later on.

>I'm done being nice to you.
Turbo: You were never nice to me!
>I Never forced anyone to hate you! I even would have let you race if I could have, but I needed to remove someone from the roster to race myself!
Turbo: What?
>I Need to RACE! IT'S IN MY CODE!!
Turbo: What makes you think you even deserve to race?
>I KNOW WHAT I DESERVE, THAT'S WHY I CANT LET ANY OF YOU LEAVE!!

>What are YOU going to do? Fix me to death? Why don't you just run away and not get hurt?
Felix: Because *Gulp* I know that out of all of us, you're still the most scared, AND, it's my job to fix things when they break, and there's a lot broken in you.

>I don't want to hear this!
Ralph: This is for you're own good kid!
>I SAID SHUT UP!! SHUT UP! SHUT UP! SHUT UP! SHUT UP! SHUT UP! SHUT UP! SHUT UP! *Flails about, flinging Ralph aside*

Calhoun: Do you really think you can live this lie forever, even after all of this?!
>I can still make go back to normal, I can put it all back!!!!
Calhoun: You cant fix this any more than you could fix Sugar Rush or Virtua Racing!
>*Screams incoherently, swings and misses Calhoun* STOP TALKING!!!
Calhoun: All your going to do if you keep going is ruin more lives! All you have to do is STOP!

Calhoun: No one ever does kid.....

The Bizarro world is simply an AU where the release dates have been switched for certain games.

Hero's Duty is now a Contra clone released around 1987. Fix-It Felix Jr. is a homage to platformers in the style of Double Dragon Neon, and is released in 2012.

Sugar Rush is an OutRun clone released around 1987, and Turbo Time is a more modern kart racer released around 1997. von Schpeed is the alias Vanellope goes by in TurboTime.

It would be 40k esque, either by parody or in all seriousness.

"In the dark future on a distant planet, there is always war."

It could also be in 2d, and animated by Gennedy Tartakovsky.
>>
>>44514719
How short are we talking here? Because I think a short series based on Hero's Duty would actually be pretty decent, as long as the episodes were of a decent length.
>>
>>44514813

It would also be separate from the Wreck-it-Ralph universe. Treating it as though it were an actual war of Humans against Cybugs.

It's the 40th and a half millennium. Ages ago on the home planet, secret tests were conducted on a new type of artificial intelligence based on insects. Something went horribly wrong, and the an AI hive mind exterminated all life in the solar system and hacked and wiped all records.

Throughout the galaxy, a fragmented (insert name of empire) is under constant siege from Cybug and all sorts of aliens. The only hope they have had for centuries was a lone transmission from a long dead general.
"Find Earth and light the beacon".

For centuries entire campaigns and planets were fought and lost for clues as to Earth's location. As mankind decays and all seems lost, an exploration of an ancient lead by Sgt. Calhoun and her come upon what may be the only surviving clue to Earth's location.

Now that I think about it that explains why he wasn't HUEG like the Spess Muhreens.

Are they actually giant genetic supersoilder under that armor, or are they normal humans and the exosuit is just really big?

If Ralph could fit in Winkowsky's armor, and he's got the build of a space marine. . .

Calhoun was programmed with the most tragic backstory, but in the course of the movie, she very closely relived the backstory without the tragedy.

How would this affect the game?
>>
>>44517203
She's just a bit less gruff I guess

I juct want the fucking bugs, give them a roborabtor level of programming, maybe so customizability, like differnt shells and limbs

What might we see after WIR2? A show, shorts like Toy Story is getting now, or what?

Well shit I didn't think you were asking for a sign to be drawn.

Time to get to work I guess...

Honestly, I'm hoping for a better video game. a 2D arcade-style platformer would suffice.
>>
>>44517602
Then again, it might not be such a good thing to drag the story and setting so thin.

A Metal slug style adaptation of Hero's Duty would be pretty cool

Back in the day we got TV shows out of practically every Disney Movie, and a few of them were pretty good. Aladdin springs to mind as particularly enjoyable.

Such gives me hope we will indeed get a good television show after a sequel.

I'll also second wanting a better video game. Frankly I'm annoyed the one that exists isn't better.

Oh jeez, we need a new thread soon, over 500 and on the last page.
