Mine was a bit different...Kind of freaked me out a little. This is more or less what I actually dreamed of and I'm in no hurry to look up the meaning/ symbolism...
I was floating in the center of nothing. (Fully clothed, mind you. It wasn't one of /those/ dreams...) Like no structures or background, and even no real indication of gravity or direction. Just me and the blackness. I remember calling out a couple of times, you know the basic stuff. "Hello? Anyone there?" It was that kind of silent where it actually roars in your ears. So quiet that it could be considered loud. I was actually surprised at my own voice. Nothing really happened for a while, I tried to "swim" to no use. Then a strangely familiar voice somewhere behind me said "Well it's good that you arrived." I look behind me and find myself face to face with Nightmare moon. It gave me a bit of a start and woke me up. I took a dump, shrugged it off and decided to go back to sleep, since it was roughly a quarter after midnight...
But then there I was again, in that blackness, staring Nightmare Moon in the face. "Welcome back." she said, "So long as you do as I say you shall leave unharmed. You see, child, tomorrow is the one thousandth celebration of the Summer Sun celebration and I'm quite close to freeing myself. But for all of my effort I need a catalyst to push it all forward, a small bit of a purer soul than mine. So if you'll come forward..." and I found myself being pulled forward, with my left hand stretching forward on its own. It was at this point I started to panic and try to wake myself up. Obviously it didn't work, as my hand hovered dangerously close to the Horned Pegasus's horn. I remember looking away, and suddenly flinching, and looked back to find my hand pierced by it. I woke up shortly after and haven't been to sleep since.
