Yes this is a fact.

I love this episode. I love the way this show allows the characters to be not only complete jerks, but make complete fools of themselves. I love Rarity, too, even if the method for garnering sympathy for her borders on cheap. It says a lot about her character that even after all of that, she (probably) never blew up at her friends, even though they totally deserved it. I can't see the show topping this one, because I can't see them pulling off such a sympathetic portrayal of a character vs. her friends without overdoing it.

I dug Rarity's song Art of The Dress song, it was catchy.

I honestly don't think Rarity's friends were being bitchy and selfish, they were just having fun designing their own dresses. They took Rarity's request for their honest opinions seriously and told her how they thought their dresses should look. It's Rarity's fault, really, because she expected them to give their honest opinions about her designs, but she wouldn't give them her honest opinion about their designs.

She was simply trying to make them happy not herself. What would her saying their dresses are shit accomplish?
They wanted it like that she made them like that. She was being kind. They were being unreasonable with their demands and since Rarity is a good friend and over generous she wanted them to be happy.
