So the ponies have all had their faults come into play in a big way. Applejack's pride led to Applebuck Season, Rarity's kinda snooty and a little self-absorbed at times, Rainbow Dash doesn't always consider the consequences, Twilight is insecure about herself and Fluttershy is... shy.

What's Pinkie Pie's fault, exactly? That she had a little trouble expressing herself in this episode? That she was just as frightened of Zecora as everybody else? Has her irreverence ever led her into serious trouble yet? It's kind of starting to bug me.

I think it's both. Spike said that he fed one at night (gremlins reference), but the parasprites themselves look and sound like tribbles.

I'm just glad we got to see Applejack doing something cool in this episode. In episode 8 she seemed to be played up as being as annoying as possible and in most of episode 9 she was just being overprotective of Apple Bloom.
