12/16/10(Thu)07:32 No.21935760>>21935745 Fluttershy was still only a shadow of her former energic self, and the many years of living in the wilderness had taken their toll on her frail body. Nevertheless, she seemed a bit less depressed than she was before her disappearance, and she even smiled a couple of times. "I found peace, at last," she declared. "And I'm here to stay."
Needless to say, this was met with general agreement, and Fluttershy was accepted into the group of friends once again. The ponies learned to accept the gloominess and shyness that become part of her character. She was back, alive and well, that was all that mattered.
There was one thing that raised some eyebrows, though, and that was Fluttershy's companion, a white rabbit, which she had taken with her from the forest. Notwithstanding his cute appearance, it was a vile, foul-mouthed animal, who was a menace to all ponies, but Fluttershy in particular. He insulted, manipulated and even physically abused her, but Fluttershy didn't seem to mind his evil behavour at all.
"I know he can be a handful," she explained to Twilight, "but I can't be mad at him. You see, I found him in the woods, a lonely soul, like myself. He gave me something to care for, something new and innocent to nurture, instead of my own sadness and misery."
"I still don't like him," Twilight said. "And frankly, I don't think he loves you or cares much for you. Can't you see he just uses you?"
"You don't understand, Twilight," Fluttershy said, soft-spoken. "But that's ok. You're sweet and you care about me, I know that."
Twilight snorted. "Does that foul creature even have a name?" she asked, but before the last word had left her mouth, she felt a sudden chillness spreading itself over her body. She wished she hadn't asked that.
"Why yes, of course," Fluttershy answered. "It's Angel. A beautiful name, isn't it?"
Her mysterious smile sent a shiver down Twilight's spine.
