11/30/10(Tue)18:36 No.21566852"Rainbow Dash, take Spike up to the cave. Spike, you shouldn't have any trouble convincing him to leave."
"Sure thing, Twilight!"
Spike hopped on Rainbow Dash's back and she took off, heading toward the source of the cloud of smoke that hung ominously in the sky over Ponyville. She made it to the peak of the mountain in minutes, barely slowed by the baby dragon riding on her back.
"You ready, Spike?"
Spike wrung his hands. "I'm a little nervous, actually."
"Why? It could be a relative of yours!"
"You think because I'm a dragon and the dragon in he cave is a dragon that we're related, just like that?"
"No! I mean, yes! I don't know! Why are you so nervous anyway?"
"Well I never actually met a dragon before. What do I do? What do I say?"
"You say 'please mister big old dragon, could you go find some other cave to sleep in?', and come get me if he gives you any trouble. I can handle him!"
Spike rolled his eyes. "Sure, whatever you say." He gulped nervously and took his first few tentative steps into the cave. It was very dark, and Spike vanished from sight only a few yards in, leaving Rainbow Dash alone outside.
It didn't take long for Spike to find the dragon, or rather, bump into him. The massive red reptile groggily opened one eye to look for the one who woke it. Seeing nothing, it drifted back to sleep with a huff, sending a fresh plume of black smoke billowing from its nostrils. Spike was short enough to not have to duck under the smoke, but it wasn't dangerous to him like it was to the ponies anyway.
"Um, excuse me, sir?" Spike spoke at last.
The dragon's eyes snapped open and quickly adjusted to the darkness in the cave. Upon seeing Spike, a huge toothy grin spread across its face.
"A baby dragon?" It's deep voice reverberated off the cave walls, making the dragon sound even more intimidating. "What brings you to my cave?" |
