Here's a Fluttershy.

For being a little pony, Derpy has a LOT of hair. It's a lot different than any of the other ponies I've done, because she's tiny, and I'm not used to making such tiny plugs of hair. Sometimes I have to use a pushpin to open the hole, to pull through the hair. Of course it's not cut or styled yet, but she has distinctive bangs and a mane. Not finished either but my fingers hurt

She's going to need some touch ups- on the edge of the ears especially because where I hold her when rehairing. At least she hasn't chipped, just rubbed. And I'm going to be retouching the eyes- I used a blade to try and scrape off brushstrokes so they'd be flatter, so there's some places that need more color (mostly in the white of the eye.)


I need modgepodge for her.

That said, I've been trying to make 4E race stats for the pony races and keep failing because trying to stay inline with the show ends up with horribly underpowered Unicorns (unless I cheat and assume every unicorn pc can teleport), and godlike Pegasus (by 4e rules perma flight isn't even be possible with a mount until lv 6 and not until level 16 or so by the pc's themselves)

Oh for sure, it's like they don't even bother trying to make it look like it wasn't animated in flash. Constant skewing and terribleness.

However John K lumps all these really graphical design styles into one hateful whole. He HATES anything with any sort of sharp lines and non-exaggerated facial features, and you can see in his own work he uses a lot of soft curved lines and RIDICULOUSLY over the top facial features.

Which is okay. But he thinks ALL cartoons should be like something he made. He wants every cartoon to be over the top and silly and as he says "cartoony". ANything else he considers garbage.

His views on character design are not based in whether someone else may find them appealing, he says they are bad and if you DO find them appealing there is something wrong with you.

Actually, it's supposed to be from a fic where Dash finally got to be the leader of that air-force group or whatever it was.

That little pony is supposed to be Dash's #1 fan; she imitates her and all. That pic is from a scene where Dash and Flutter are on their way to a practice and that little pony starts to follow them. And Flutter thinks it's the cutest thing ever.

Allthough shiiiit it totally looks like their lovechild. I was too tired to colour that little pony properly so I just slapped those colors on her. And Flutter's face totally screams 'mother' eventhough it isn't supposed to. Fucking hell. Well whatever. She can be their lovechild for all I care.
