my rants so far :
>Episode 1 It was good to show us the new characters and introduce us in world of Equestria >Episode 2 It was really cool, if the "spirits of harmony" thing was not a great twist, the bad guy turning good again was. Said that it was kinda sad how the killed the whole "legend" aspect here, i was expecting more from Nightmare >Episode 3 Wow, how cool was that? Looks like L. Faust is really trying to show us that cliche morals are not always the good ones. This time instead of doing some sort of contest or judgement, Twilight concluded that every single poney reasons are equal, and only when she gave up her own tickets she received the extra ones, a good lesson indeed >Episode 4 The moral was not any surprise, but the episode was full of magic moments, the whole "trophy" segment was awesome, showing us the ponies personalities and interaction as well, something really rare in cartoons nowadays. Plus some old school references and hilarious gags (CHOCOLAAAATE CHIIIPS) >Episode 5 The best written episode so far, the whole thing was just perfect. The episode started showing how hyperactive and stubborn Pinkie can be, then Gilda came in, and just like Twilight we all thought she was being jealous, at certain point even Pinkie started to ask herself this question. One important thing was how they showed to us some important things, like how in the P.Pie pranks she always like to reveal in the end that was just a joke, or how she somehow respect some "sensitive" people, in constrast of how Gilda don't have any of that prank morals. But of course the best part of the episode was the party, again showing us how the classic cliches can be wrong sometimes. We all was expecting a "revange" from Pinkie, that what every single cartoon teach us right? But instead she just left Gilda poisoning herself alone, while she was trying to act cool with her, now THAT'S a good lesson, and not only for the kids |
