Fluttershy definitely needs to have tools involving her relations with animals. Maybe also that she can move past enemies without being hurt as long as the other ponies aren't within range of the monster. STEALTH!

In terms of flying, since both Fluttershy and rainbow dash fly, we need to specialize each pony's flying a little bit.
So fluttershy can fly more vertically, like a helecopter, but Rainbow dash fly's more like a plane.

My opinion is still that Rainbow Dash dominates the sky in every spectrum of movement. Whatever Fluttershy's ability is with animals should compensate for her reduced aerial movement.

While moving fast and flying are both pretty awesome, I think Rainbow Dash needs the Robot Unicorn Attack dash attack. She could bust through stuff with the power of rainbows. Pressing and holding whatever button activates the dash would keep her moving at rainbowspeed, so it could be used as a short burst or as a "FASTEST FLYER IN THE SKIES" move.

And for easy gameplay's sake, switching between all the ponies shouldn't be necessary for each new challenge. Maybe two or three of the ponies have their own way of working it out.

I just now got around to watching this. It's pretty much exactly what you all promised, and way better than it has any business being.

However, the thing I wanted to comment on: Twilight has an excellent vocabulary for a kids' show character. Then she has to dumb shit down for Spike, which also slyly lets the kids know "this is what those big words meant."

I just like it when good shows trick kids into accidentally learning. You know at least one little girl out there is throwing around the phrase "precipice of disaster" because of this show, and that pleases me.

Ha, yeah, it has a thickly weird neck, too. But Oakley has the cutest little ears behind the antlers, so I like him/her a bunch. (Still not sure what gender it is, probably female though.) The second set of animals are usually HTF, I bought my Oakley in an eBay lot for $60 or so. Came with 40 other ponies though, so I'm not complaining.
