Personally I think it's a GOOD thing that fans can't contribute.
I'm working on a game things right now that has a sizable fan base (ten thousands of downloads on the demo) and all fan ideas are either stupid, or stupider. So even if there's a few gems out there, it's best that writers pay no attention to fans. the mindsets between the two are COMPLETELY different. It's good to appeal to your audience, but fans, and in particular BIG fans, are terrible.

It also comes off a bit arrogant.

I think general, collective ideas are fine to suggest, but the show is already doing everything /co/ could reasonably want. It's got plenty of parental bonus and plenty of humor anyone can enjoy. In fact, I think that explicitly gearing the show towards college-age folk could ruin it with executive demands to make it more "MTV" and Drawn Together-ish.

The show is pretty much perfect as it is. True, the end of episode Twilight Sparkle letters are kind of corny, but it's a part of the show. If you can get any word to the writers, tell them one thing and one thing only:
