Yo! I'm just stopping in for a little while, but yes, customizing ponies is way fun. A little bit of a learning curve (since you basically have to learn to paint in miniature or it looks like a globby mess, and rehairing is tough to figure out at first), but once you get the hang of it, it's totes fun.

If you're interested, I recommend buying one of the blank ponies from Hasbrotoyshop.com, since you can dye the hair and just add cutie marks and such from there. I'm thinking of using one of those to make a chariot-puller pony, but we'll see how that works out.

It's really not all that hard. Clearly i'm not pro, but you know, you don't have to put out things like your example. As long as you can hold a brush steady you're fine. And don't be a dipshit and try things like markers/sharpie-ing symbols. I don't even advise using rerooting tools, use needles.

Work your way up to adding onto ponies, sculpting, etc.

I have a decorate your own pony! It's nice. But I wouldn't suggest it to begin customizing. You have to understand how MLP eyes work before you can paint them. How they're made up and all. I'd get a pony from the store or online that's used. A white one if want white, or whatever. It's all nice quality and good stuff, but the eyes involve work, and if you want to reroot you're just going to chop all the hair off anyway. Custom bait on MLP sites usualy run from $1-3 so you'd save a little if you go that route, and you have more poses and types. If you don't want to go through that, just look up a MLP eye painting tutorial, understand the basics before you improvise.

The problem with eyes is you really need to understand how the original eyes are before you deviant from them. Try drawing them, see what you like or do not like about them, before you try making them really different. Oh, and before you go out collecting MLPs, I would suggest familiarizing yourself with the types. For example, old big brother ponies are harder to find, and usually should not be baited. Washington (CNN) -- Airline passengers can expect to see as well as feel new pat-down procedures at U.S. airports over the coming weeks in an effort to provide another layer of security for travelers, the Transportation Security Administration said Thursday.
"Pat-downs are one important tool to help TSA detect hidden and dangerous items such as explosives," according to a TSA statement sent to CNN.
The TSA said passengers should continue to expect "an unpredictable mix of security layers that include explosives trace detection, advanced imaging technology, canine teams, among others."
But it's the hands-on procedures that have at least one traveler concerned that the TSA may be going too far.
Rosemary Fitzpatrick, a CNN employee, said she was subjected to a pat-down at the Orlando, Florida, airport on Wednesday night after her underwire bra set off a magnetometer. She said she was taken to a private area and searched, with transportation screening officers telling her the pat-down was a new procedure.
According to Fitzpatrick, a female screener ran her hands around her breasts, over her stomach, buttocks and her inner thighs, and briefly touched her crotch.

Thats not true at all. As a non transformers fan, I saw the TD 86 movie for the first time 2 years ago and it was horrible. None of the characters had any development, the only one you DO know dies in the first few minutes, the music (besides the touch) sucked, and the junkyard planet was just wat material.
