There are those small things. Evaluate if it works for you. Look for positives suffer through negatives... that's what I'm trying to do.

That's truth... don't use stabillizer for anything beside line art or inking and stuff. Always sketch and draw on 0. Exercise your hand. Even if it's wiggly-wobbly-squiggly that's the really great investment.

If you're just starting out get used to drawing on paper first. Starting with a tablet just makes your learning curve even steeper because you have to learn how to draw without looking at where you're drawing (a big hurdle for most) as well as how to use drawing software.

I got to 100 followers pretty easily. 200 wasn't too hard either, but 300 took me a little eternity and now my rater of weekly new followers and unfollowers has reached an equilibrium of a little over 300 and i've been there for several weeks now.

Creativity is a skill. The more things you put in your head the more you practice combining them the more unique combinations you'll start to come up with. For a while though you'll have to get used to being derivative.

Art like most disciplines is first and foremost about getting used to being uncomfortable. And you can always get better at it. If you get easily frustrated and give up then work on not letting frustration keep you down.

There's nothing you CAN'T improve at. Your fundamentals, your state of mind, your discipline.

If you just think you're not cut out for art, well...you can cut yourself out for it if you try.

The absolute only thing that YOU have to bring to the table is the desire to do it. And you already have. Because if you didn't desire it then you wouldn't care about it at all.

Well the key to doing any exercise to to focus on what you're trying to learn from it. With simple shapes it's about improving your eye. You want to draw the shape exactly as you see it and correct if you find you drew the angle incorrectly. It's about learning the visual and spatial relationships.

There are other exercises you can do to focus on line quality explicitly. I don't recommend trying to combine two exercises. You wouldn't practice your human anatomy and landscape drawing simultaneously, would you? It's much better to focus on each separately and then combine them later.

My art classes back in school were so fucking awful. the teacher planted a bowl of fruits in front of us and then told us to draw it. That was it. No tips on how to do it, no feedback on the finished pic, only a grade.
Same thing for other shit, "okay, draw this one with cross hatching". Not a single advice how you do that.
Art classes in school sucked royaly and are also the reason why I didnt start drawing earlier

Simple ones are just filling entire sketchbook pages with straight lines and smooth curves. Drawing organic shapes also work. And of course line quality WILL improve naturally as you draw basically anything. Humans, trees, bowls of fruit. I just recommend straightedges for shape studies and perspective practice because it removes an element from the equation and allows you to focus more on what those studies are about, which is seeing and perceiving angles and relationships, without worrying about how your lines are a bit crooked. That stuff matters less when you're drawing bodies or plants.
