A good balance of deliberate character traits.
I'll take an example;

Twilight has an utterly horrible character depth because of the absolute lack of positive character development, and thus comes off as a snide, seemingly arrogant and stupid Mary Sue.

Then we look at Discord.
It's pretty clear he is SUPPOSED to be the villain, not the main character gone accidentally wrong.
He is meant to be negative, but it's still in pretty good taste. Even in the last Discord episode, he still stayed to his character of being a manipulative beast.
He is, after all, the element of disharmony.

She's good at a lot of things, so she can get along with other boards like /ck/ and /mu/ and the like, but she quickly grates on them because everything she does is pony-related somehow.

For most ISPs you need to change the mac address of your router then reboot your modem

Even if they may not be sensitive to touch, they are likely sensitive to electric impulses and other things.

I may be way off base here, but to me Twilight's goal was always to be a good student, live up to her mentor and do right by her friends as she learns more and more about being a good friend.

Her goal was less tangeble then the other's, like Rainbow Dash's dream of being a Wonderbolt or Rarity becoming a great designer. It was a nebulous, life long sorta thing. And given, I do think the whole princess alicorn thing would be a good place to tie that all as the apex of her dream becoming realized......but it all seems way too soon for three seasons. And it's not even THE END of the series. Twilight has acomplished what she was apparently meant to accomplished, so.....what now?

Given it's interesting to see a character reach there goal, only to find that there is more and have new goals. That's all well and good. But the way everything seems so rushed and forced by Hasbro for no real reason then to just sell the same toy they were before, only now with wings is doing it for all the wrong reasons and feels just plain sloppy to me. I got into this show because it wasn't the same old trite kiddy crap and I'm being really let down in the direction things are heading.
