It's just bad form to add in things from outside the accepted canon; the crystal ponies, Cadance etc never existed in the original story... if they did the events would have been rather different. Adding them in later is just daft.

I'll bump with an update on Ouroboros (that sidefic from 2 threads ago). Despite the fact it follows every cliche, I like the story so far. So far the course of action in the story makes sense, and the characters are pretty well defined. The author could do a better job of describing shit as I'm always left re-reading everything, but eh. Nope, because the romance sideplots are more often then not the same type of cheap indulgence, only pretending to be smarter when it often as half-baked.

I could actually dig a fic that acknowledges that what the characters are doing is motivated by simple animal attraction/lust. I think that's why I kinda respect Romance Reports even though I really didn't like it.

On the love / romance topic, there's only one story that's generally handled it well enough (that I know of) to get good critic on that side of things... and it's my own story.

Even if my writing is initially lacklustre (which I'm planning to do a rewrite real soon) and all that, I've been told the relationship is the best of any that many have read so far.

I'm waiting for the season opening two-parter to see where they're going with this otherwise the whole thing could just be the opening act of twilight learning she wants to be a librarian rather than a princess and everything going back to the way it was.
Which is the most likely outcome by far as everyone freaking out about it should realize.

The episodes don't get aired in order, Twilight growing wings and moving to Canterlot would mess with the status quo and create a barrier of entry to new viewers which is the whole reason children's cartoons don't have much continuity besides mentioning that events have happened or will happen.

Yup, pencil and paper. it's what I started. I picked up a graphite pencil and charcoal to draw with, as wella some color pencils. A lot of times, I feel at a disadvantage to digital artist because if i make a mistake, it leaves a mark, even if I erase it, especially with charcoal and, god forbid, ink and color pencils. No crrl-z for me.

This reminds me of the time I went to Disney Land with my eight year old cousin. We were having a swell time until we made it to the teacups. As soon as the teacups had started moving I knew I had made a mistake, and I felt a warm sensation coming from my shorts. A few seconds in I vomited chili dog all over myself and the child next to me, giving both of us third degree burns. The operator stopped the ride as soon as he could, but by then I had already had a heart attack from pain, shame, and democracy.

I think I spent about 4 days in the hospital, but it felt like weeks. While I there I promised myself. When I got out of there, IF I got out of there, I would join the military. I would make sure that those terrorists would pay for what they did on 9/11. Unfortunately, I have a very poor sense of direction, and was never able to find the enlistment office. But I wasn't going to let my disabilities hold me back. If I couldn't help fight a war, I would WRITE about one!

Writing can be difficult, and it takes time to find inspiration. In order to defeat my writers block, I would often go to places containing a multitude of black people packed into a small space, such as Ben and Jerry's.
Eventually this paid off, I had come up with a rough idea for a story, but there was something missing. It needed some extra umph, that punch that separates it from just any other story.

My inspiration came one late Thursday evening, while hiking in the mountains. I came across a herd of horses. I cautiously approached them; my heart was racing so quickly, I feared another heart attack! It felt like ages before I got close enough to touch the two horses. Slowly, I reached my hand out and gently touched the female's mane. As I did, I realized what I had to do. Taking my grandfathers flintlock pistol from my bag, I aimed it at the females head. A single tear rolled down my cheek as I pulled the trigger.

It was exhausting, but I was able to drag the dead horse back to my apartment by seven AM the next morning. After skinning and gutting the poor creature, I cooked on a crude campfire in my living room made from books and CD's.

I'll admit; I threw up a few times eating the horse, even if it didn't taste completely awful, that was a lot to eat! Thankfully the horse had been small technically a pony, so I was able to stomach most of the creature.

Upon consuming the horse, I waited a few hours, as to properly digest it's memories and creative energy. Upon doing this I felt refreshed. As if I had just had a good, healthy sleep, even though I hadn't slept in months, not since I had started working on my story. What was even better, though, was that I finally knew what my book needed to achieve its perfection!

That night I sat down at my desk and just wrote, for hours I wrote paragraph after paragraph, jotting down the piece that would soon make me famous.

Upon releasing my story to the public, I was met with a multitude of positive reviews. People were calling my work, "an experience," some told me it was the best fanfiction they had ever read, one man told me that Fallout: Equestria had been the most enjoyable piece of fiction he had read in his entire life. I knew he was ejaculating, but I still have never been as proud as when I read that gentleman's comment. I had done it, after all. My story had reached out to hundreds, perhaps thousand of people. My dream was fulfilled.

And I couldn't have done it without you! The fans! Thank you everyone, for reading Fallout: Equestria! And making me the happiest woman on the planet!
