Ah, Twilight. It's so good to see you again.
Are you here to grovel? To ask me for your friends' lives back, in exchange for my freedom? How wonderfully short-sighted of you.
You really thought you'd defeated me, didn't you? You have SO much to learn. You've turned me into stone. Once. Yet here I am, talking to you through that tidy little spell you stole from Celestia's archive.
How are the Cakes doing? Divorced yet? Has Mr. Cake punched any of the pegasus or unicorn stallions in town?
I love breaking relationships. Oh, I enjoy chaos, but what really spins my crank is seeing ponies argue and bicker, then turn their backs and walk away, determined never to see each other again. When I conquered Ponyville, I rejoiced at the discord between you and the other spirits of the Elements. It was so much fun!
Celestia said she had a new bishop on the board. Seeing her cry and rage in front of my statue when Luna turned was delightful. I was surprised to see she'd replaced her sister's vast imagination and impossible abilities with your, pffft, checklists.
Just how long do you think we've been playing, little pony? We go back and forth, a thousand years here, a couple of centuries there. She turns me into stone, I wreck her subjects' lives. When this move of the game is over and done, if you survive, you will write a letter to your master. And whatever pithy lesson you've learned, whatever new and wondrous bit of wisdom you've gleaned, you will never again be able to sign letters, "Your faithful student, Twilight Sparkle." |
