Eh, it's just a quickie. I thought of entering it into that contest, but for one I've kind of used up my chances-per-year to ask favors of my listeners; for another, I don't think I should be depending on contests like that to reach these artists. That and basically the contest operators get to own your remix of the song regardless of victory or defeat, and I'd prefer to be able to perform it at shows without getting my head cut off by Interscope.

I don't get the appeal of Lyra. Sure she's cute but that's about it. Her human "fetish" thing is pretty damn played out at this point and isn't even that special considering ponies have been doing increasingly human like poses since S2 so her gimmick is pretty much irrelevant.

I don't focus so much on the humans part as I do on how she and Bonbon get along.

I can't help but see Lyra as a free-thinking weirdo, who gets these fantastical ideas in her head and fixates on them for weeks or months at a time, and Bonbon as the more reserved and grounded one who has to occasionally act as Lyra's conscience.

Eh, it's more to do with the contest than with Interscope. Essentially the work is considered a "Work for Hire" and there's actually NO guarantee that the song is released if it's picked to win.
