It was great, but felt incredibly rushed.

It really needed to be drawn out longer to establish the buildup of the friendship between Discord and Fluttershy more.

Perhaps cutting on some of the unnecessary lunctime scenes for more interaction between them.

The speed by which Discord suddenly becomes friends with Fluttershy and later suddenly is harshly conflicted makes it come off as something as an asspull. Particularly as after this one scene Discord suddenly swears to do good.

Great episode though.

Plus, you gotta admit, everyone's skepticism made a genuine amount of sense. Hell, the ending itself bordered an Out-of-left-field Deus Ex Machina that even Fluttershy didn't see coming by that point.

But in the end, today's lesson was forgiveness and redemption. Voice acting and animation were great, but... That's why I said "almost". But I suppose I worded it poorly, I more meant that I think by that point, not even Fluttershy had pretty much lost faith.

And realizing that, that's probably what got to Discord the most, that someone who has pure and honest faith in EVRYONE no matter how dark or vile, just lost her faith in him. It's sort of like that experience one might have in they had a truly loving parent, they did something to really fuck up, and truly and honestly, they lost that parent's faith in them. that breaking feeling you can almost PHYSICALLY feel.
