As for the eyes, well, picture related.

Her mother could not pay for the surgery to fix this at the time, as there was a recession in cloudsdale , and she was saving the money to afford it, so as a makeshift solution, she got special glasses for Ditzy Doo.

Although most of the classmates were okay and tolerant of her condition, two others, by the name of Yam and Tink (No points for guessing who these are) did not share the same sentiment, and one day, before flight practice, they tampered with Derpy's glasses.

Derpy, though quirky also had a low attention span, and when they took off, she ended up flying up instead of following the instructor.

The oxygen deprivation left minor brain damage leaving her with a condition where she forgets the manner of her speech, (three voices) and speaks differently and at odd tones at times.

Her mother had to fork out her saved eye cash for this accident, and since Derpy/Ditzy has had to live with her eyes, she's had to cope most of her life with it, seeing the world uniquely.

She's gotten better,but she still is clumsy, at best.

As for Yam and Tink, Yam went to A Juvenile detention center, and Tink now lives in Manehatten in the ghettos, unemployed.

I enjoy curry, I think it's tasty and easy. But really it's easy and a good cover up for anything less than delicious.

I have always had trouble starting a new sketchbook. I never knew what to draw on the first page. So I skipped to the second page.
All of my sketchbooks for the past 8 years have the first page blank, and I never have any problems breaking them in.
