Depends on your "talent". Some people improve fast because they quickly understand how stuff works, some improve a lot slower.

It's not really age-constrained although as an 80-year-old you'd probably be having problems. Young people generally learn faster but that doesn't mean you cannot learn to draw anything at all. You do need a lot of motivation/determination to get somewhere though, if you keep having doubts about yourself you'll end up like all of our present artists except Ross, lacking confidence in your abilities. Of course this doesn't hinder your art progression as much as it makes you feel like shit and get depressed. Ross is an entirely different case and also an exception.

The thing is, if they say something is wrong with your drawing then you have to be the one to decide rather they are right or wrong. Usually any artists who is actually trying to do better will oppose the criticism critically and be able to argue it. I can usually tell trolls from honest critiques even when it is more then "I hate it. It sucks"

A year ago I started requesting Daftykins to draw Lyra with a Fancy Hat, the idea amused me so much I started doing it with other artists. For some reason other people liked it and it didn't take long until they started requesting it too.
I've seen the request popping up a lot lately and I thought it was a good idea to make a collage with all the drawings I've saved in these 12 months, even if half of them haven't been requested by me.
I really hope the artists had a good time drawing all this shit, and I'm sorry for being so annoying, thank you all very much!

Humanizations are human versions of them. You are drawing humans that have some of the traits of the ponies, "what would this pony look like if it was a human?".
So you're drawing a human, not a pony from the show. Therefore the same criticism applies that goes for everybody else who draws humans. Humans don't usually have easily interchangeable faces with no distinguishable features aside from colors.

When you take the drawn head and imagine it in 3D, and place the mouth exactly where the artist placed it on the picture, the mouth will be strongly off to one side. Furries often do this, basically you see the head from 3/4 or side, there's an open mouth, and you can clearly see the skin on the other side of the mouth, the skin shouldn't be there and it should be partially or fully see-through depending on the angle. LMJ has some of the worst sidemouts in almost every picture of his, look at those for reference.
