Okay, so, I'm curious.
When it comes to Big Mac, I'm seriously confused. I like Big Mac, I think he's a cool character that gives (rather, COULD give) a bit of balance to episodes he appears in. He doesn't get a lot of screen time, which I can deal with. My issue is that ever since the first time he got a good slice of screen time in Apple Bucking Season where he had conversation to say and sounded like he could have character development, he's instead been reduced to shitty 'Eeeyup,' and 'Nnnope,' oneliners.
Now, this kind of bothers me, because I would like him to have more character expansion - I'm not asking for a 10 minute soliloquy, or for him to be a main character, just a few extra lines in the show. However, every time he says something that isn't just Yep or Nope, everyone flips the fuck out and says he's out of character? Either that, or they freak out thinking it's the first time he's ever said something that isn't Yep or Nope, as if Apple Bucking Season ever happened. I find this kind of confusing - surely you guys want characters to be fleshed out, even a little, right? Granny Smith got it. Cherilee got it. Luna got it. Why should Big Mac be limited to being a two line act? |
