I've always liked Rarity to an extent, her drama queen attitude is quite amusing, she also has her moments of badassery regarding that Manticore and those dragons.

Applejack took some getting used to, she's always just... there and not overtly quirky like the others. I now appreciate her merit though, she's a great character.

Twilight was my first favorite, a cutie awkward bookworm. I loved her the most in Look Before you Sleep and Feeling Pinkie Keen. My interest in her kind of waned in Season 2 though.

Dash I disliked at first, she had that insufferable jock persona that sat polar opposite to mine. I like her a lot more thanks to Season 2 though, she's still a jock but she's adorable and her determination and leadership traits are admirable.

Pinkie Pie I've always for the most part liked, but sometimes her bubbliness gets on my nerves and her unpredictability has ironically become predictable over time. That said she's still a great character with a admirably big heart.

Fluttershy I was mostly ambivalent to in Season 1, and I didn't like her attitude in Dragonshy. I don't care how much of a wimp she is, a pegasus afraid of heights is absolutely pathetic. I've liked her a lot more since then though, she showed a great deal of bravery in The Stare Master, seeing her freak out in The Best Night Ever was surprising and showed an interesting wild side to her, and her wrestling a bear in Lesson Zero is still probably my favorite scene in the entire series.

Well, Canterlot is full of snobbish assholes like Prince Blueblood, and maybe Cloudsdale got boring as kids so a bunch of them left when they could. Or maybe they all work weather and get assigned to sectors, like Green Lanterns, and if they enjoy the place then they settle down and raise family there so you get a bunch of people calling it home.

At least that's what I think.

Ponyville seems to be rather lax.

Cloudsdale feels like an industrial town, with the bells and whistles of the factory telling you what to do, and when to do it. Imagine if your 9-5 was your whole life.

Canterlot, while primarily using magic, feels like someplace that has EXCRUCIATING schedules and measurements.

Ponyville, as long as the sky isn't on fire, seems to be running okay. Dash, as lazy as the show has shown her to be when it comes to work, is still a captain. If a pony who frequently shows no effort towards her job is so high level, imagine the rest of the pegasi there.

Dark Knight has a ton of plot holes. I can usually forgive most of them since the movie is so enjoyable. Some of the ones cited weren't that much of a big deal. Like Joker specifically says that he likes gasoline, and bombs because they're "cheap".

My favorite plot hole is Batman covering up Dent's crimes. There's no need. Why not blame those few deaths on The Joker? Joker killed dozens in the movie.

Henchman's fingerprint, not joker's. I don't entirely understand it either. Something about learning how the bullet fractures and then putting the original bullet together to get the original fingerprint. It leads him to an apartment in the next scene.

Quit being such a comic book purist. This is a different universe with a different Batman. Deal with it. Bruce got very emotional in that scene. He was really scared for his friend and his girlfriend's life.

Nolan's batman is not a super genius. He has gadgets, and he fights. He can do some detective work. But he's no in the same league as the usual comic book batman.

How are the movies pretentious? That term is thrown around way too much. The Tree of Life is pretentious. The film pretends to be a deep meditation on morality and the meaning of life and death. But it is not deep at all and is just using "true art is incomprehensible" to hide how shallow the film is.

That's pretentious. There's some subtext to Nolan's Batman movies, and some characterization and some commentary on universal truths and shit. But none of it is that deep, nor does it pretend to.

Second of all the death stars main weapon is a massive laser, the only thing that ruins the range of a laser is the medium its travelling through it scatters the light and eventually the laser loses energy due to this. but space is a vacuum there should be no interference, Now a point could be made about its focus, but if its a powerful enough laser to blow up alderan into fragments not much bigger than an asteroid then even a weaker wider shot from further away would so substantial damage to a planet.

anyways the death star could've approached yavin from one of the poles and set itself up to always have yavin 4 within its sights.
