Elena Barbarich's Summary
Yamino (aka Elena Barbarich) is a self-published, freelance artist graduated from the Savannah College of Art and Design, majoring in Sequential Art. She was born in Rome, Italy, but has also lived in California, Austria and Belgium. She is fluent in English, conversational in Italian and French, understands most German and Spanish, and is teaching herself Japanese. She is mostly vegetarian, and her favorite drink is bubble tea (aka boba.)
In the future, she hopes to finish this webcomic series and continue working on several others she has planned, as well as illustrating some books together with a friend. Ideally she’d like to have a steady job as a concept artist/storyboard artist/comic artist/illustrator. She would also like to teach English in Japan.
Other than writing and drawing comics, her hobbies include voice-acting, dancing in front of the mirror, travel, learning languages, creating custom clothing, speaking in the 3rd person, and posing for pretentious photos. Also, Yamino has recently joined the band Freen in Green, lending her vocal talents to the character Smoker, as well as providing all the official artwork. Freen in Green’s music is available as downloadable content on the Rockband Network.
On May 13, 2010, Lady Gaga saw a fanart poster Yamino created and tweeted it to her 3million+ followers ( http://twitter.com/ladygaga/status/10439739616 ) making Yamino the happiest little monster in the world. |
