Can someone explain to me what motivation feels like?I've tried to do a lot of things. Editing, 3d design and animation, drawing, and music production. It's funny because people say that my work isn't realistic enough or that no one in real life looks close to a character I've drawn, only for my direct inspiration to be from someone who just so happened to not fit in with the rules of proportion.The other thing I study is 1930s-40s cartoons, where I basically reconstruct poses to learn about line of action, silhouettes, and most importantly, staying loose. I go frame by frame and see characters stretch and distort in ways that are practically banned today, so I strive to draw more for energy's sake. I like being loose, anything from Disney, DC/Marvel house styles, etc feels too tight and confining.
