Is it going to be a quick gesture drawing in order to warm up? It's a hard question when you say how detailed you want to be when doing a study. It's much better to have learned something and gained insight into as to what you're drawing than merely "copying" it. Though, don't believe everything I say, as I'm not nearly experienced enough to answer as a qualified artist.
