>ponies have much shorther life expectancy than humans >You've been living with Pinkie Pie at Sugarcube Corner for 20 years now >she got ill recently >you go to visit her in the hospital >the nurse asks you to wait a bit >the doctor pony comes out of her room, saying you can go in now >you are almost at the doorstep when he holds up a hoof to stop you >he somberly says that if there's anything important you want to tell her, you should do that now >realization hits you like a freight train >you step inside, and see her on the bed, connected to machines, cables of infusion and oxygen connected to her >she instantly cheers up and smiles when you enter, and greats you with a weak but somehow still joyful 'Hello' >you sit down to the chair next to the bed and hold one of her hoofs in you hands. >she instantly starts chatting about random things, how 'funny' the hospital food tastes, how the grumpy doctors didn't allow her to bounce around when she still had the chance and she had to go to the fillies room by wheelchair, and so on her voice remaining feeble >When she goes silent for a moment you gather up all your courage and say how you had the best time of your life was when you could live and spend time with her >she just smiles at you, tears in her eyes, and asks you to hug her >you do so, and she snuggles you with her face >she says "I'm feeling very tired, but I'm afraid to go to sleep" >the tears you were trying to hold back are released, and you tell her it's okay >she plants a gentle kiss on your cheek and whispers softly >"Thanks for all the parties we had together" |
