Pinkie Thing #6: Suddenly Timeskip
!!UmjxqskgtOq 05/09/12(Wed)20:04 No.1831356The summer passes quickly after Pinkie's birthday. The summer is rife with parties that need hosting and catering, so Pinkie is busy for weeks on end. Even so, she takes the time to smile and wave, now and then making small talk with you when she sees you on the street on her way to an event. Sometimes when she's looking a little ragged, you help her with a party's preparations or performances. On these occasions you invite her back to your place, where the two of you relax with cold drinks and a warm couch, talking about how things are going, what her friends are up to, filling in the blanks of time where you don't see each other.
Once in a while she'll fall asleep on the couch, sometimes even in your arms, and you'll carry her to bed where she spends the night. She's always up first, doing her best to cook you a thank you breakfast before she has to run back to Sugarcube Corner, always giving you a kiss on the cheek before she leaves.
You think about the relationship between the two of you sometimes. You try not to too often, afraid you'll commit your mind to something prematurely. But when you do, you imagine Pinkie always being by your side, her radiant smile and signature bounce in her step, the way her mane curls and bounces when she talks. On occasion you've found yourself daydreaming for more than an hour when you finally do snap out of it. And each time you wonder if she thinks of you when you're apart.
Despite your daydreams of warm summer days, summer eventually wanes into fall. The leaves of the trees of Ponyville changing colors and beginning their slow descent to the ground while the air becomes a little cooler. Soon everyone, including yourself, is wandering the town with scarves or warm caps.
And with the onset of fall, the preparations for Nightmare Night commence. |
