Attention 4chan extension/user script/archive developers: Some time in the next few days, we'll be rolling out a complete HTML rewrite of the imageboards.
The design will remain the same, but the underlying HTML/CSS is completely new, and validates HTML5/CSS3 (with some tweaks to account for cross-browser compatibility).

As a regular user, these changes should not affect you. You will need to update your 4chan browser extensions/user scripts when their maintainer updates them to be compatible with the changes.
The official 4chan Chrome extension will be ready to go when the updates happen, and 4chan X should be ready soon. We'll post more details on the day of the migration!

I didn't have a big problem with him, people are just overreacting because I complained about him for once, when before this I always just ignored all of the drama revolving around him. The guy kept sending me a bunch of messages and I finally had enough of it and just deleted him. I didn't flip out at him, and I thought he'd get over it and just go back to, you know, being sentenal.

It's being blown out of proportion, and honestly I didn't know anything about what happened after I deleted him until you guys brought it up now. I just feel kind of bad because maybe if I had just talked to him instead of ignoring him, maybe he wouldn't have overreacted.

I played for like a month or two a while back, still know relatively nothing about the game beyond a couple of the bigger stories that hit gaming news.

Like the Guiding Hands Social Club wrecking the biggest corp in the game and taking all of their assets backin like '05 or the stupid fuck who tried to transport seven years worth of plex in an undefended cargo ship across nulsec space only to get blown up and his cargo destroyed. (I have a friend who claims he was in on that raiding party but I don't believe it)

The dragons seem to follow DnD rules, in that they generally don't care about any other races so long as they can horde as they please.

They probably don't play well with other dragons in their territory though. Outside of the Migration and maybe mating seasons, there's probably only one dragon doing its own thing within a set area.

I found story ideas popping into my head with the Deer a while back, and one of them was that their leader was an elk or reindeer who would be a rough equivalent to Celestia, but with nature-based magic.

I had a theory that each race/land might have its own godlike figure with control of one aspect of the world or the elements, something relevant to their culture - so while Celestia and Luna control the Sun and Moon, maybe there's someone out there who can do the same with the earth itself, or the wind, or perhaps over how plants grow - something like that.

The problem is finding something that ponies haven't already got covered on their own, because we already have Pegasi and Earth Ponies who take care of those things in Equestria - so why have a deity who can do it?

Look at it this way: All of those deities do exist but they run their own countries. If their relations with Equestria are in poor standing, those gods do not lend their services to the ponies which results in the Unicorns, Pegasi and Earth Ponies having to take up the slack.

Luna and Celestia (consequentially) are the only deities on the planet who HAVE to provide their services to all others because they can't just keep the sun and moon over Equestria without harming their people. Since Celestia and Luna can't hold their ability over other nations, Equestria is actually one of the weaker kingdoms in the world.

That's a possibility.

I like the idea that the Everfree is some sort of godless hellhole, a nexus of negative energy that attracts monsters and causes the laws of nature to run rampant and wild. A concentrated fount of chaos.

Perhaps it is somehow the result of the rise of these deities and the imprisonment of Discord? Without it's master, the gods of that world were able to push back the chaos and seal it away inside the forest. Since chaos had kept the world running up until that point, all the gods had to take up stations to keep the world running. As the years went on many of them drifted apart and began using their powers as a form of international currency or a good to be traded.

Equestria then is in a unique situation, seeing as the domain of their ruling party is one that HAS to keep running otherwise all life will die. This makes the Princesses the most powerful of the deities but at the same time causes their nation to remain at the bottom of the power structure since to cease providing their services to one country means ceasing their services to all countries, including their own. It doesn't matter how much power you have if you are incapable of using it, and the other countries recognize this.

The easy way is to draw something slightly off.
Crooked Trees does it and I don't even know if he realizes it.

Or you could go the other route by adding things that it shouldn't. Like teeth, claws and tentacles.

Or by simply moving things around/changing the size of things. Moving the eyes so that they sit below the mouth with the mouth up top. Making the feet incredibly small as to almost come to a point.

Hell, for what REALLY got me into drawing weird shit, pick up Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark as illustrated by Stephen Gammell.

The key to inking is clean lines and contrasts of thick and thin forms within the line itself. This is why I use the stabilizer - I don't have anything to put my tablet upright and if you consider it cheating, remember that you're the one deciding to draw digitally in the first place. What I usually do is I ink the major, larger forms with thicker lines and then use thinner lines for the details, of course. There's several reasons to use the stabilizer

1) Tablet surfaces are considerably slicker than paper
2) A lot of tablets people use are not tablet PCs or large enough to encourage drawing with the forearm
3) Those who don't use it usually have messy work even after they hit Ctrl+Z sixty times. Again, if you're shaming someone for using the tools available while using Ctrl+Z, you really aren't any better. It doesn't help your case against the stabilizer's use.

It's still essential to draw with traditional media as it teaches you to draw with confidence and speed. It's why I was at the top of my class in figure drawing for both semesters I took the classes. Your move.

A second possibility here is that it was planned all along. Celestia knew it was going to be an eclipse that day, so brought her sister in to play the part of Nightmare Moon. I'll be making this one a viking - greaves on his front legs, helmet on his head, braided beard and hair - some of the details are still a bit muddy right now, but they'll be brought out in time. Trying to be authentic with costume and accessories, which is why the ewe and lamb are wearing those caps and the shawl. I'm also breaking away from the model they use for sheep on the show, making it stockier, stouter. The head shapes are probably going to be more squared-off versions of pony heads.

The Ewe has a wooden spoon in her mouth, by the way - I was thinking of an innkeeper and her daughter.

Here's what you do.

Get in that car at 8AM every morning and don't come home until 4PM. Spend that time going door to fucking door looking for a job. Any job. Get a haircut, shave every single hair on your face, and wear good clothing.

Protip; hiring is usually seasonal. While you can get hired at any time, your best luck will be during transitions between seasons.
