I had already predicted how it was going to happen not what specifically but how before the episode aired.
I was annoyed by the overwhelming shoddiness of the BBBFF song SA's voice the predictability of cadence the closest the came to character building was foreshadowing, the magic colour as well.
The commercials with tori spelling were more entertaining because of how stupid they were.

I missed the commercials, which was a shame. I wasn't able to get a stream working at the time. Nonetheless I think we'd all expected what was going to happen, to some extent, and yeah, the episode was formulaic and predictable, but that doesn't make it bad - it makes it standard for the show. There's a precedent there. I don't think that redeems the episode, but it does explain a lot about the entire show.
