I noticed you were complaining about that yesterday, and FWIW, mindbreak/corruption is a lot easier to just sit down and write than something sweeter, which requires more of a story and more care to actually pull off, and couldn't have been done as easily just sitting down and writing for two hours straight

okay so my problem with the episode.

It was too cookie-cutter. You can replace any of the ponies with anything else and you would probably get the same results. I wish we were introduced to the new characters beforehand and have this as a finale.

and honestly, we don't know much about Cadence. Her aspirations, flaws. How she met Shining Armor. Why a royalty like her would do a menial job like babysitting. That kind of shit makes a character. She is lovable, for sure but wish we knew more about her. Still I would probably be okay if she appeared in future episodes, at least to elaborate more on her characterization.

Well, these episodes were shit. The staff is completely lost/has to obey Hasbro too much for product placement and has no idea what to do anymore. They lack direction and vision from Faust, they lack the restraint from the E/I rating, all of this is obvious.

Seriously, they went from the original proposal of "how to make a show for girls that doesn't stereotypically suck?" to the tackiest wedding-double-episode-with-shitty-songs-and-product-placement-for-characters-never-seen-before they could possibly make.

I predict that this show will crash and burn, hard. I'll leave this place for now, but I'll be back for season 3 to watch it all burn.
