I don't really care what happens after FiM. This was a single one-in-a-million pinpoint strike of lightning, and I doubt they're going to repeat it no matter how hard they try. 1) Stop procrastinating.
2) Never say "the fact that".
3) Let your characters do the talking instead of you telling them what to say.
4) Remember conservation of detail. Don't go into detail about things that don't matter.
5) Don't map out every word. Map out a guide to where the story needs to go and work from there.
6) It's not a race. Sometimes you blaze through thousands of words, sometimes you stare at a blank Word document for an hour before scribbling a few things down. Don't let that discourage you.
7) Try sometimes writing it down on paper before typing it up. You'd be surprised how it makes you think.
