Personally, I find having the hero play executioner makes it just as much a case of 'are they right or wrong?' as letting everyone go does.
You have to do it in the right way, which I hope I do with a second character who only wants the wasteland to get better and believes ponies need a second chance to do that, but the main character sees it as if they did it once, they'll do it again.
But this DOES raise the question: is he right?
Is there cases where he's going too far and killing those he shouldn't?

I liked the addiction in the original. I didn't really like the way 'You have cancer' worked in Heroes and PH. Especially since Blackjack got night vision from it. I guess one big thing that doesn't seem to be addressed in the stories is starvation and thirst. You'd think that food wouldn't be abundant, which it still doesn't seem to be since the protagonists shoot down/rescue Emaciated ponies, and yet protagonists always to have enough food to eat whenever and never go to bed hungry. Or never get dehydrated even after they vomit their entire stomach contents, twice. I'd like to see more characters cope with not knowing if they're going to get a meal.

As for the PnP all my characters are delusional. So guess they're handicapped mentally.

Okay... Slightly late answearing this but... I did that wasteland pony completely with normal round hard edged brush. I just adjust the density between 70-100 and use the colour picker a lot for transitions. I never liked the airbrush effect and rest of the special brushes seem weird.

Pretty much... Though with colour pieces I actually have to do some colour blocking first due to hue and saturation variation between areas that are lit or in shadow. Greyscale is just so easy and relaxing to do because all I have to worry about is value.

I told myself I'd be trying to focus on writing chapter twenty one of my fic, so instead of entirely dropping it, what I'll do is whenever I'm in a smutty mood or just can't get writing on the chapter, I'll be thinking of what to write/writing your thing.

And again, yeah, actual feelsy stuff isn't past my experience. My story has some very romance focused parts and I've been told that once it actually gets going, it's the best romance of any of the fics three different people have read.
So feelsy romantic clop is simply adding more intimate details to a usual romantic scene, something I'm confident with.

So yeah, don't you worry, I'll write it.
If it's good enough at the end, I may even ask Kkat to see if she's okay with it going on the cloptacular list of clop.

That poll is horrible. Most of the characters there have little to no development bar Littlepip and Nyx.
Nyx has a lot of issues leaving Littlepip as the best character from a quality point of view, but dear god I really don't like her so I'm torn.

I also read Broken Steel. In short it's a mess. Even ignoring the myriad of grammar and spelling mistakes resulting from an author with a literary disability and no prereaders, the story itself is all over the place. It's like a horrible crossover mashup and there's a LOT of dead weight. If they kept focused on the core story Steel Ranger grappling with their morality/anger issues and the ancient machine bent on carving its' way across the wasteland you might have something good, but it would need a lot of work.
