Here's what the original looked like. Her body was affected by gravity, nor did her weight affect what she was sitting in. She setting wasn't special enough for the occasion, so that was changed. Before, there was a blocky recliner, whereas now, a lounge chair and drapes were added. See how much more movement that adds to the picture and the negative spaces added that makes it more interesting. The table's changed, the box changed size, I added a cake, etc.

It's come quite a ways from what it was.

Zecora would have a bigger role.

Anyway, Twilight was always pretty pampered, even in the first episode she had her own tower, a personal assistant, a direct line to the princess and got replies within seconds. The thing is, she never acted like it, and that's what made her great. She's been given everything in a platter because of who she is, but it never went to her head.

Official Synopsises:

Part One!: Twilight's brother, Shining Armor, is marrying Princess Celestia's niece, Cadence.

Part Two!: Twilight discovers a dark secret about Cadence right before the wedding.

We split this up differently than other 2-parters have been split (from my understanding). Like I was saying to Sabrina earlier, we were all doing the types of sequences we're best at. The result is something we're all pretty proud of.

Having watched the pilot episodes in Leth's Synchtube stream, hint hint, it's pretty easy to assert that Twilight was pretty vain at least in the beginning. Her attitude of "the princess will listen to me because I'm her top student and I know I'm right and she trusts me" was rather spelled-out.
It wasn't until she realized who her friends were that she stopped being portrayed that way. If it fills in the blanks of Twilight's younger days between her Cutie Mark flashback and the show's present time, all the better.

I know its bad to hold this sentiment but I wish they didn't have to try and justify any of it, especially since it's already breaking what faust said and what the monologue in the pilot said.

If for example, the main six were invited to the wedding between prince Blueblood's siter, a unicorn as faust understood it and the captain of the royal guard it wouldn't bother me at all.
