The reason I say this is because if you bother to keep track of how long it takes, that's added pressure on your mind. You shouldn't try to rush it, but you really should do what the other anon said and go at a pace that feels comfortable for you.
Art is learned via repetition, but if you're repeating the wrong things and don't ask for others' input or insight and try to find out what those things are and fix then, then you're just drilling in the wrong things into your brain. In other words, if you practice and continue to make mistakes, you might think that those mistakes are right, catch my drift?
That being said, you're definitely on your way, and it's looking good so far, so don't give up.
You're gonna go far if you keep it up, and as far as thinking you're getting worse, that might be because you're able to discern your mistakes more easily now? That or you're doing what most of us artist do and you're belittling yourself. |
