You know what else this reminds me of? The Luna in that animatic didn't look anything like the S1 Luna. Continuity error or are we missing something?

Twilight has become a far worse character in S1.
She has gotten over the obsessive neurotic behavior in 3 different episodes already.
LZ, It's About Time, and in GPP.
I mean I understand that's the only facet of Twilight the writers remember how to do, but they could occasionally try writing her like they did in Look Before You Sleep.

The explanation that Faust gave (this was after she left the show, though, so it's not necessarily canon) was that the Luna we saw in Season 1 was her with her powers depleted as a result of being defeated. She presumably looked more like her Season 2 self pre-transformation.

Well, they've already shown that she's had her flowing hair look before she was Nightmare Moon when they took down Sombra, and then the comic had her with her flat hair before swirling out again. At a handwavy guess I'd say it's tied to her emotional state (and/or the state of the moon); as nice as the Faust hypothesis is, I don't doubt Celestia would be able to notice the power difference when they're defending the realm.

In my eyes, one of Season 3's biggest sins was how the whole thing was executed. From Twilight's test (and I'm going to come back to this) to her Allicornification, the whole entire affair the execution left something to be desired and that's me being courteous.

Did you see what I did with that paragraph? Yeah, this is one of the hearts of the issue that I think this show has right now. When people try to make their case that this show has Twilight Sparkle over focus issues they sometimes mistakingly focus on the volume, which can be countered with the fact that there were 8 episodes where she wasn't int he center ring and dozens more outside of the season where she's not the main character. The crux of the argument should be based on importance. I mean really, besides Fluttershy reforming Discord and Rainbow Dash making an impression at the Wonderbolt Academy, what happened to the other 5 this season besides Applejack learning a lesson inside her tired comfort zone?

But you know what? The accomplishments of the former 2 were made pretty meaningless by either botched endings or being glossed off for other "more important" things.

Brass tacks time, ladies and gentlemen. The creative team needs to step their game up when it comes to execution. It's turning good ideas or potentially good ideas into sour notes. Alicorn Twilight needed much more buildup and needed to be executed in a way that doesn't look like its' putting her on an Untouchable Pedestal beyond the rest of the Mane 6.

The problem is Fluttershy has two core attributes: she likes animals (except full grown monsters) and she's shy. Fluttershy needs more to her.

Maybe give her a quiet strength.
Maybe we get to see "the average day in Fluttershy's life". See how she wakes up way before dawn, feeds and cleans after her animals, goes to help Applejack with her pigs, goes to a Day Spa with Rarity and listens quietly to her talk about Canterlot, try to go home after listening to Rarity talk for hours but getting stolen by Pinkie Pie, Rainbow Dash and Twilight but graciously agreeing to help.

Only for her to get back home completely exhausted to a destroyed house full of hungry critters. Whom she eagerly feeds, then cleans up and plays with them to crash on the couch surrounded by her animals, only to awake hours later to the sound of the rooster to start the day again.

I agree with most of what you said except the last part.
I disagree with that Twilight was put on an Untouchable pedestal beyond the rest of the Mane six.
Yes she become an alicorn and a Princess but thing is that we don't know what that means. I mean okay for the moment it's more personal interpretation and head canon but really it doesn't seem a big deal. Twilight and Cadence while both alicorns are nowhere near close to what Celestia and Luna are. They aren't at the same level, far from it even.

Really right now they are just unicorns with wings slapped on and nothing else. Also Twilight didn't get any upgrade. She still will live in Ponyville, she still will be with her friends and we'll probably get a episode where she asks her friends to stop calling her a Princess because she's still the same Twilight that is their friend.

I know my argument is based only on speculation but really from what we've heard till now it doesn't seem that Twilight becoming a alicorn princess will change that much.

I kinda like this idea - maybe Rainbow Dash or someone else offers to help her with her chores around her cottage, and finds themselves totally outpaced/exhausted, while Fluttershy's hardly broken a sweat after feeding the mice, changing the bedding for the new baby bunnies that were just born last night, cleaning the chicken coop, sweeping up the hallway, making breakfast for everyone and curling Angel Bunny's tail - and that's just this morning's chores!

Or even better, let's give her an episode of her own - a day in Fluttershy's life when she isn't around her friends - see what she thinks throughout the day, when she has a moment to herself.

I disagree. I don't think there was an over-focus on Twilight at all. Yes, TCE and MMC were very heavy on the Twilight. But those were only 3 out of 13 episodes. Twilight didn't even make an appearance in 2 out of the 13 eps. So S3 was not "Twilight Crack" as you so put it. And McCarthy and everyone didn't even expect to have a 4th season. It makes perfect sense for them to want to make a proper ending for the series - which is what Twilicorn really was. Also, plenty of other characters got significant development in S3. Dash practically became a Wonderbolt. Scootaloo got a lot of love. Spike... well... Spike got fucked over. And they kinda forgot about Rarity.

Well we don't know that. The most we've gotten is that a writer like Rogers didn't know if there was going to be a season 3, but someone higher up might've been more in the know, and the decision to continue with season 4 might've come a lot sooner than it did for season 3.
