Rugrats was a show about talking babies.

They once had a special episode, in which the babies stumbled into some sort of weird closet and did something, and ended up as teenagers at a high school. They mess around and do teenager stuff, and by the end of the episode, they find a way back to their universe, as babies again.

Since that whole "teenagers" idea had been introduced, that gave the show people the opportunity to make an entirely new show based on this alternate reality. The two shows ran at the same time, and with the same characters, but were completely unrelated.

This is most likely what MLP will do with EG. They'll have a special movie to introduce the concept, which will start with them as ponies, make them human, then end with them being back to normal. With that alternate reality introduced, they'll make a new show/webseries, whatever with it.

Is that a good description ?

I think the whole 13 episodes thing had multiple reasons to it.

1. They needed 65 for syndication so eh, why not hit that mark, just to be safe.

2. The show was very popular, and wouldn't really lose popularity if they spent half the money making half the episodes and just airing reruns instead.

3. They could use that saved money for the movie if they needed to.

It's a good description. More than enough.
Now if I may explain why it wouldn't make sense to use FiM like that.
For one they are ponies. Now talking babies becoming teenagers isn't that big of a deal for multiple reasons
-they are babies. they will probably forget about that
-they are still humans. While the babies probably saw teenagers as something completely different from what they are trough their limited and uneducated perspective the ystill had some kind of idea what it meant to be a grown up.

Now this is where it all breaks up. They are ponies. They have no idea what humans are. They have no idea what the human world would be. They are grown up. Young adults that have lived their entire lives in a pony society and world. If they were transported in the human world they could not adapt. Or at least not quick enough. Most technology would be a mister for them. Also Twilight has a scientific mind. A fucking new world is accessible. She would not just you know forget about it just like that.

There's also another problem related to that. They would be transported in a world that has the same characters just as humans. Well there's another problem here. Either they will just become humans, no one would recognize them at all, or replace the current versions that exist in that world and again most people would kinda see that you know the girls they knew started acting like ponies and don't know anything about anything and they are like neanderthals

We don't know what kind of human world they're gonna be teleported into.

I doubt it's gonna be just like our real world, with all the crazy technologies and such. It'll probably be Equestria, but with humans. It's an alternate reality, it can be literally anything it wants to be.

The troubles they face with adapted to this new world is part of the humor and conflict that they're most likely going to use in the movie to drive the plot along.

When you think about it, Rarity's talent is having and setting connection, not making dresses. I mean, she got Fluttershy to be a model.

So I'm a long time Anonymous writefriend who has been posting stories in the ol' /co/ generals and the board itself since longer than I care to remember. Anyone and everyone would have seen a greentext by me at some point. I have come to realize however, that my growth as a writer may have come to an abrupt end.

So I look to a different path now, and I'd like to start drawing. However I have no clue where to begin. I know this isn't /ic/, but I know and love you guys.
