I didn't even see that post. What WOULD happen if fluffy ponies got smarter if they survived long enough? That's an interesting thought...
>Fluffy pony has survived for four whole years >she's changed a lot since you first got her - she's been acting very different these days >the games you normally play with her, like peekaboo or hide and seek, aren't entertaining her anymore. >her favorite ball hasn't been touched in nearly a month, and her blocks are gathering dust in a corner. >she doesn't laugh at the things you used to do to amuse her - she seems bored with them. >the only time she ever seems happy anymore is when she's drawing, or when you read to her before she goes to sleep >you're glad she's not getting into as many accidents or causing trouble, and you don't have to dumb things down so much for her anymore, but her behavior worries you >the staff at fluffy ponycare have noticed the change in her too - she doesn't "pway!" with the others like she used to, mostly just looking out the window. >one night you find fluffy pony lying in her bed with a bunch of old picture-books you used to read as a kid - the ones you read to her. >"You wanna pick which one I read tonight?" >fluffy pony looks up at you and says she doesn't want to read these anymore. She knows them already, and she wants to hear a different story. >she's read all the children's books you had - you pick through your bookshelf and pull out a few of the books you read as a teenager >hold up a sci-fi story and let her look at the title, written in large, friendly letters >"How about this one? It might be a little hard to understand, but--" >you don't even get to finish before she nods fervently, telling you to read that one. |
