>RD doesn't get as angry as you thought she would - actually a knowing smirk spreads across her face. >"Oh, I get it now ... you've been holding back on purpose so you could stare at my ass!" >"N-no! I wasn't staring at--!" >Her smirk grows into a smug grin, and she waggles an eyebrow at you. >"Thought so! Not like I blame ya' - after all, it IS a work of art." >Before you can think of a defense, she suddenly picks up speed. >"You wanna stare, that's fine by me, but you're gonna have to keep up!" >You're not concentrating anymore, and she easily leaves you in the dust - you lose sight of her for several minutes as you continue along the route, looking for her in the shady morning light. >You see her up ahead a few times - just sitting by the trail. Before you can get close, she yawns at you, turning around, and gives her backside a playful slap before taking off again. >Oh goddamn it. If you don't at least keep up with her, she's not going to let you live it down. >Somehow you manage to summon the willpower to fight through your legs burning and the pain in your feet and ankles, and pick up your speed. >Eventually even RD realizes you've stepped up your game - the teasing tapers off, and so do the breaks, finally ceasing altogether as you've managed to catch up to her at last. >Looks like all that jogging has done you some good! >You look up at the sky and realize the sun's coming up. >Time to finish this. |
