i do have placeholders, it's a sphere with a pony texture on it

i was just wondering if there wasn't some very simple fix to my model importing woes, like i need to select certain things in 3ds max before exporting as a .dae file.

The whole angle of a mutilating death while being strapped against one's will was pretty heavily clichéd in the first place and grew old quickly because of the way Cupcakes pervaded in the fandom and became some sort of fanfiction boogeyman.

You come to a halt at the top of the hill, breathing heavily, your destination finally visible in the moonlight below. You've been running all night, ever since an anonymous tip helped you avoid capture by the Royal Guards. You had been close enough to your house before escaping to hear some of their banter, and from what you could tell, it sounded as though they suspected you of leading a Discord-worshiping cult. While you have been faithful to Celestia your entire life, you did not feel it would be wise to confront them and explain your innocence.

One thing that stuck with you from the tip was a suggestion to make your way to Appleloosa. It did not give you an option of a place to stay, or even someone to talk to for more information, but luckily you have a cousin named Mabelle who has lived here for most of her life. You've never been to the small town before, so with any luck, none of the locals will recognize you. To your best guess, the note was implying that whoever framed you is here in this town.

Before you continue, however, you need a name. You know it would be foolish to use your real name whilst introducing yourself, so you need to think of something to hide your identity.

As you begin slowly trotting down the hill, you decide on the name Rusty Shackleford. You're not sure why it appeals to you so much, but you believe it will be an adequate pseudonym. You spot what you believe to be Mabelle's home on the other side of town (it seems fairly close to what her parents always described whenever they would visit your family, when you were nothing more than a colt), but even this late at night (or rather, this early in the morning), there seem to be several ponies walking through the town. You shouldn't have any trouble getting past them, but they might be curious about why you're out here so early when they've never seen you in town before. Maybe you should look for a way around them. Or maybe you could introduce yourself; make a good first impression and all. Then again, it might not be the best idea to speak to anyone before explaining the situation to Mabelle.

Obviously you're being too paranoid. They're just simple townsfolk, they're not going to instantly realize you're (supposedly) a fugitive. You come to the bottom of the hill, and begin strutting down the dirt road, trying the best poker face you can manage. You receive a nod from the first few ponies you pass, making sure to return it, but the last one moves in front of you. He's a large, burly stallion, with a light gray coat and a black mane. One look at his face tells you two things: he isn't stopping to welcome you to town, and you probably should have tried harder to avoid him.

"Who're you?" he asks, looking down at you with a piercing gaze. "Don't remember seein' you 'round here before. You new in town or somethin'?"

With that out of the way, you continue to Mabelle's house, only now considering the fact that she may not be willing to help you. What if she doesn't believe you? What if she thinks you really -are- some kind of cult leader? She's always been nice to you before (a lot nicer than most), but with some ponies, loyalty to the Princesses runs deep. Heck, it still runs pretty deep within yourself, but not deep enough to rot in the dungeon for a crime you didn't commit.

You shake these thoughts out of your head, however; this is certainly not the time to be getting cold feet. You have nowhere else to go, and this town might be your only hope for clearing your name. You walk up the porch steps, taking note of the fact the lights in the house are off, and knock on the door several times. You wait, trying to listen for hoofsteps inside and hearing nothing, before knocking again. Several minutes later, still nothing. You're already starting to panic again.

You thank her several times over, before asking if the two of you could go inside to talk. "Is it about why you're using a fake name?" she asks, and you tell her it's more than that. So, so much more. You follow her back to the house, and she opens the door for you, letting you walk inside first. You look around, noticing a living room and staircase to your right, and a kitchen and dining room to your left. The house seems relatively empty, and why wouldn't it? After her parents retired and begun traveling all over Equestria, she begun living here by herself. One pony in such a large house must be a very lonely existence, you surmise, so maybe you're helping her just as much as she's helping you.

She walks over to the couch, and you sit down next to her. You begin explaining everything, starting with the anonymous tip, and finishing with the confrontation just before you arrived at her house. "That must have been Burt," she says. "He means well, but he's always a bit cautious around newcomers."
