>Bring pet Dash in to get her wings clipped. >It's a struggle to get her to go anywhere, but you've broken her enough so that she doesn't assault you anymore >Put on her wing bindings extra tight; soon she won't need them >Get her in the car, she sighs all the way to the vet's office >Tell her that she's getting vaccinated, no reply. >Drag her into the room, set her up on the stainless steel table >Vet comes in, manages to get the drugs in with minimal resistance >Vet reaches into his drawer, grabs a pair of clippers >Dash begins to realize what's going on, starts fighting. >She's starts fighting, both you and the vet have to restrain her >The drugs start to take effect, her struggling gets weaker and weaker >She resorts to begging now, saying she'll never use her wings ever again and she'll never struggle to put the wing bindings on. >You just shush her, and tell her to go to sleep >With all her might, she's able to stay awake, but with the drugs she can hardly move or talk >Vet is able to clip her important feathers while she's sobbing >She eventually falls asleep, drive home >When she wakes up, she beats her wings with all her might, but they don't provide any lift.
She cries all the time now, but at least Dashie won't ever fly away, huh? |
