Bueno.
No subtlety, no socializing between the ponies, no good characterization for them, they're just stereotypes now.
Subtlety - No more transitions, barely any smooth music is left alone, without some dramatic orchestra kicking in every time or mickey mousing popping out of nowhere.
No secondary plot at all, not even a decent primary plot and even if the episode concept is good then the execution is bad.
Only Sweet and Elite was genuinely good, and even that one had flaws.
In S&E Rarity's character isn't dead, there's interaction between her and... the fucking background ponies instead of the mane6 which are busy being stereotyped and awkward for the plot.
The setting is put somewhere else, instead of Ponyville.
All you can say about season 2 is that some episodes have more content and more action scenes, and that's about it.
