Regardless though, most of us aren't MLP fans, we're MLP:FiM fans. We mostly only care about the previous gens with regards to how they've influenced our current show.
I have actually watched one of the old episodes, managed to catch someone streaming an episode about a rock dog. There was something a little charming about it, but the animation, characters, music, pretty much everything was pretty subpar.

The two major people either left or stopped writing them, so no one really payed any attention to it any more.

You might actually be able to find it through google, I think the term that was mainly used was "ponywife" or "pony wife".

I think an writer may have gone by "Ponywife asshole", but my memory is awful, so that might be someone else, and I'm not sure whether it would be useful or not.
