01/22/12(Sun)03:35 No.33502169>>33501615 Personally, I'm not so upset so much as a bit worried. See, I know MMO's aren't the pinnacle of intelligent storytelling or brilliant writing, but in the one I played, the developers kept close with the players, even the jokes. One day, they began to include the jokes into the actual game, and I felt a bit of the meaning was lost, a chance for good writing was lost because the developers wanted to homage the jokes from their fanbase. It also resulted in some characters gradually being brought out of whack with their selves from the lore at launch.
I suppose I should keep good faith though. These are people who write for a living (and not to give justification for smacking a hundred dudes) and this is really only the first time they've truly brought a fanbase joke into the show.
And knowing my luck, this one post, in which I try to be fair and even minded, will result in a shitstorm of epic proportions because one thing I notice when I accidentally troll is that the worst incidents are caused when I try and fail to support both sides of the argument.
In other news, I actually enjoyed the new episode. Fancy that. |
