01/21/12(Sat)07:49 No.33466718>>33466668 /tg/ is much the same in basic premise, although we have a few other game-modes the Goons removed or just never had, like AI Malfunction (AI and cyborgs are secretly trying to take over the station's systems to blow everybody up) and Cult (insidious worshippers of ancient eldar beings intent on destroying reality must team up and tear a hole between the realms, or something).
The atmosphere of the two servers is quite different. I'm obviously very biased here, but Goons seems to be a lot griefier, with less control over their admins, and more shit (literally). /tg/ has at least basic standards of role-play but they won't ban you for hacking a door as a medical doctor (unlike the third major server I know of, Baystation12, from the forums which brought you Dwarf Fortress).
It's not an easy game to get into, the graphics are shit and you will die, a lot, from every conceivable thing. It is also horribly addicting and you will play it for hours if you get into it. |
