I feel like we could figure out a lot about the episode by focusing on where they intone in the clip, and the information given...
Miss Jubilee is almost certainly the owner of the cherry plant, but why are they all working there? Did they agree to come help out AJ?
What did AJ tell her about Sweet Apple Acres? Did something happen to it? And they struck up a conversation being "orchard folk" -- there might be more to it. Maybe AJ is being blackmailed somehow?
Next -- "DID YOU TELL =HER= WHY YOU AREN'T GOING BACK?" - Rainbow Dash
Why is RBD so frustrated all of a sudden? Why isn't AJ going back? Most importantly, WHY WOULD IT BE IMPORTANT for Jubilee to know why she's not going back? Is it a long-term employment?
AJ brings this up in the next line:
"No... because it was none of HER business!"
Why does she say it like this? It sounds like there's a specific reason AJ didn't want to tell Jubilee about her troubles.
Maybe Jubilee is an old acquaintance, and she didn't want to appear down on her luck? But AJ said they met at the rodeo...
"Is it because I made it rain on you that ONE TIME?" - RBD
This tells us something actually rather significant. We know AJ did not lose the farm somehow. She COULD GO BACK IF SHE WANTED TO, as far as the main cast knows.
That probably happened earlier in the episode. I'm guessing that before the intro bumper, AJ is hard at work, then the rest of the cast comes and pesters her -- like by making it rain, a book on orchards, insulting her hair, etc.
But AJ isn't telling them why... and I think it is more than just her pride being hurt, because she was more than willing to speak her mind to Dash before. Not to mention she's the Element of Honesty!
I think something else is up. That "blackmail" theory is sounding more and more likely to me... maybe she made a bet at the rodeo that she wouldn't return if she lost?
