So, you are attracted to her personality, which you don't seem to have qualms about, but you're also attracted to her body, which bugs you.
Consider this, then: The ponies are, in a way, physically made to be attractive to humans. Now, when I say attractive in that context, I'm not saying sexually, but that will come with it. What I mean is that they are given large, expressive eyes and are given manes that could easily be a proxy for hair on a human's head, although obviously cartoony and exaggerated. These are two qualities that are given to them to make them seem a little bit more human, and thus relatable to the audience. And heck, they're seen wearing clothes obviously inspired by human dress conventions quite frequently.
If you saw a real live horse hot and ready to mate, it wouldn't arouse you, right?
If yes, then it's the human qualities in the ponies you find attractive, both in regards to personality and the physical part of it. |
