Zecora's manner of speaking is actually a method of building a type of magical energy. She speaks in rhyme in order to keep a minimal level of concentration and can do some mental/psionic stuff when it's focused like the greentext-er! Green Dust we saw in Nightmare Night.

I like to think that Zebra elders can use that same rhyming magic to defend themselves, but can't causally speak because their words manifest physically around them even why not trying.

...Still a bit loose, but I like tinkering with this idea...

Hey. I am the Anon who wanted to do the MLPG word statistic.

The only interesting thing I can do is to compare MLPG frequencies to another frequency list, because otherwise you get "the", "a", "is", stuff like that like the most frequent. Not interesting. So, I compare it to the most available frequency list, which is words from OpenSubtitles - http://invokeit.wordpress.com/frequency-word-lists/

But - a lot of words in MLPG are in the subtitles, only once or 0-times, so it actually becomes super-important in MLPG. Well, that happens.

(By mistake, I downloaded only the recent 900 generals, not whole 4000 or what was that, but who cares.)

I ignore the words that are not in the subtitles at all.
Most important word here would be "tumblr", which is here 2129-times, but only once in the subtitles. The second word would be "fandom", the third word would be "pones", 4th one "mfw", the next ones "ika", "welp", "fap", "braeburn", "fic", "alicorn". I am posting the whole list later (I will somehow mark, though, if it's only 1 time in the subtitle word list)
