No, I really find it funny how the internet today is devoiding us of anything personal, how everything is "public" in the first place and then, maybe, if we try, it becomes "private".
And you know, most of these things they dug up is usually the stuff people upload themselves, under their names, on various networks, without realizing 1+1 can be added up, the names and the addresses added together and you got the complete profile of a person only using basic search engines.
And you know, I am not even starting about stuff like photo image recognition, maching learning techniques, data mining.
Especially today, the data mining is getting EXPONENTIALLY cheaper each year. But yeah, I don't think the doxxers are using that.
Anyway, some doxxing self-important idiots can dug up THAT for one person. Now, imagine someone with vastly bigger computing power, with vastly more resources (such as corporations or governments).
